So who's waiting to start STS

I have tried the 1st disc's at the gym and I've decided to wait until my son ships off for basic training then end of Feb. so I can turn his room into my gym.

I think I'll like STS better if I do it at home and just do the leg work at the gym.

Oh good idea about the sons room

I did start my 1 RM today. That's a step in the right direction LOL!!

I'm waiting for Cathe! :D

I just started my 1RM this week. I felt a little overwhelmed by it but once I got started I really got into it! It's actually been pretty motivating to see just how strong I am.

You go girl!!!!
Sending you a ((hug)) too!!

Awwww, thanks Catherine! And here's a {{{HUG}}} for you, too. You've really been through it lately with the storm and power outage. I hope things are back to normal now.

ETA how are your poor feet?

Michele, thanks. My foot is better. I did some of my upper body 1 RM today and I am gonna try a kb w/o tomorrow **crosses fingers**. We still have a bit of yard clean up to do. Lots of trees down. The weather will actually be nice enough this weekend to do it.

I'm not starting until after my wedding on March 21st. I will be out of town for almost two weeks after the wedding - and I figure the week before the wedding will be really hit or miss when it comes to workouts. So I imagine I won't even try the 1RMs until I get back.

I'm doing the Gym Style series to get me used to the 3-day split. (I was always a "total body" girl.) And I also add 3 sessions of cardio - and one of those has to be IMAX2 every week! I'm working out hard these days!

I would love to start STS now - but just can't. I DID do the pilates abs tonight (I just got my STS yesterday) and really enjoyed the workout. I am going to rotate these Ab workouts in with the Core Max workouts for now. It gives me that little bit of STS for now.

I'm very excited to start STS, but alas, will have to wait. :(

I'm waiting until probably the start of April.

I am flying back home to the UK next week for a family wedding and will be there for 2 weeks. Then when I get back I need to recommit to a general lifting program and work up a solid base before I start STS. I haven't done any weight training for 2 months because of an iffy shoulder and Winter SAD depression, so I am saving CLX and STS until April/May.

So, seems like there are quite a few of us with waiting plans for one reason or another, all of them good!

Join you all for STS in a few months' time.

Clare

I've posted this elsewhere, but DH and I planned to start together, and he broke his rib two weeks ago. So we have at least 4 weeks to wait until we can start (and he had been planning to start his 1RM tests the day he broke it, so he still has to do them. I'm not done doing 1RMs yet either.)

I am eager to start, but I can wait. There's no rush...it will still be there in a month. (At least that's what I keep telling myself!;))

Jodijodi, I hope your husband realizes what great sacrifices you have made for him by not starting STS. You are truly a model wife and I hope he appreciates you.:p

My DH is so out of shape I am having him do CLX(lite) to work up to it. I am also doing CLX, and am on the third week, so when done with it, will start.

LOL, he does!:D And I think he feels bad, poor guy.

My workouts were very hit or miss during January anyway, so this is giving me time to get back in the swing of things before we get started. (But I am not planning to give him time to get back to his usual fitness level beforehand...he can use STS to do that! I am understanding, but I have my limits!):D
