I ordered LIC from collagevideo.com and I just tracked it through USPS. It should be arriving today, yay! This workout looks like a ton of fun and sweat and I cannot wait. Now I see 4DS is on sale this week. I am contemplating getting it. It never ends! I always want more Cathe :p

You'll love LIC! I just did it this morning. Even with all my Cathe dvds and also using Cardio Coach, I still love to do LIC about once a week. It's great for days when you want a little cardio and a little strength training. And it's so much fun--great music, too. Hope you enjoy!

another great workout

Okay, so I just finished LIC for the first time and I have to say I love it!!! Some of the step moves were tricky for me, but I am sure I will get it in another few tries. This is my first resistance band workout, and I was not sure if I would like it, but I am feeling it in my back for sure.

Side note: I am trying to ease off of high impact for awhile because of my knees. Is 4 DS okay if I maybe don't do the bootcamp and the high impact step? Or should I steer clear of this one for now?

I also love low impact, but high intensity. LIC is one of my favorites, but I also like the kick boxing and the low impact step workout in 4DS. I do the bootcamp workout with just a few mods. I don't do the high impact step, but feel I got more than my money's worth with just the three workouts. Get it! You'll like it too. Enjoy!

Low Impact Circuit is a great workout. I've been working my way up the "Cathe Ladder" starting at Basic Step in July this year, moved onto Low Impact Step, Low Max and finally Low Impact Circuit. I just completed this full workout for the 2nd time. I had originally started doing just the step premix from this DVD so I'd have the step portion down pat before I did the entire DVD. The step premix is tough on it's own!! I still need to modify the push ups and ab work until I increase my strength but at least I still do the same number of reps, just modified versions. It will come in time. I also use just hand weights as I don't have barbell & weight set yet (hopefully that is what Santa will bring me this year). I was just very excited that I can get all the way through it without pausing the player!! I found Low Max very tough and only tried it a couple of times. I was getting discouraged so I moved onto LIC and I was not disappointed. Perhaps I'll try Low Max again next month once I've gotten a few more trys out of LIC.

Good Luck!!!

Yes, you could still do the low-intensity step and kickbox cardio segments. In fact, the high-intensity step segment is short enough that when you're ready to reintroduce a bit more impact (but not a LOT), it would be a good fit.

Bootcamp is the the one with most impact. Again though, it's short. I found that whenever my joints start crabbing at me, I'm throwing too much at once at them. If I ease into things, I'm pain-free. So you may find after doing the low impact stuff for a bit, you'll be able to move into the higher impact segments on 4DS just fine.

I love step and I especially love the step routines in 4DS. My knee has started to really bug me lately, so what I do to allow myself to still do step is to just use the step (no risers) and I modify the impact. I still do higher impact step, I just modify. I still get a good calorie, burn, the high from the workout and my knee is much happier. Check it out and see if it will work for you with your own modifications.
