Holy Cow is it bad here!! First they said 3-5 inches ( I am in Saginaw County, MI near the edge of the thumb) and it has been more like 8-10 and blowing like crazy.

Good day to sit and bead and watch Spartan Basketball.

What's the weather like where you are at?

Oh Janice, can I come visit!?

Here in SE Wisconsin we awoke to about 8" of snow on the ground. It was tough to shovel the end of the drive with the dang plow coming though all the time! But the snowblower can't make it through 4 feet! I'm not exaggerating---it was up to my chest and I'm 5'4"!

We have since gotten 2-3 more inches and we'll have to clear the drive yet again! DS and DBF were nice enough to handle it for me.....then went snowmobiling. They are positively giddy---we haven't had good snow in years!

I'm in Pa. It's coming down so fast.

I thought I would try to use shoveling snow as a second workout today. I went out to help my hubby and kids.

I decided to see how many calories I would burn. I wore my heart rate monitor.

Can you believe I was out there 1 hour and 9 minutes and only burned 273 calories. My heart rate never got over 116. The hear rate part threw me. I was tossing the snow over my back doing all sorts of stuff to make it more intense.

Oh well, at least I burned a few more cals today and got the first round of shoveling done.

It's hard to tell how much we got here in CT. The wind speeds are around 35-45 miles/hr. It's been snowing like crazy since yesterday afternoon. Some spots in my yard are bare and there's 3-4 foot drifts in other spots. When all is said and done (later this afternoon) our area is supposed to get about 2 feet.
