SNM - Why is your clock fast?

OK, this may be the stupidest question I have asked, but why does the clock read Oct. 1? Also, what is GMT? It's making me nuts?

It looks like you need to change your time zone. You have to go to "user menu" and select “preferences” then change your time zone for your area.

GMT is Greenwich Mean Time. Greenwich is in England and is suppose to have the most accurate clock in the world...if I remember correctly. England is 5 hours ahead of US. Judith
