You're right, Shelley - it *is* considered more like a salsa. They way it kind of oozes in the jar reminded me of jelly. I bought some at the store and used it.
In fact, I mixed it with no-fat salad dressing, a diced small granny smith apple, a cup of halved red grapes, poured in a small can of pineapple chunks (no juice), a dash of curry powder, and two cut up (no skin, no bone) cooked chicken breasts and had myself a yummy dinner with DH. We put the mixture on lettuce leaves and ate it that way.
