yes, another few days slipped by before I got back to post. Again.
Picking up from where I left off:
Friday was MMA Boxing (all of it) in the am and in the afternoon was...GET THIS....3/4 mile SWIM and I FELT AWESOME! I felt like a swimmmer...not just a runner pretending to swim! The furthest I've gone is the 1/2 mile mark so I was super happy with 3/4 cuz I just felt like I could keep on going!!!
Yesterday was my long run...12 miles with the group in WIND WIND WINDY conditions. We went out too fast, though, in the beginning and although we did reign it in a bit, it still wasn't enough. We were a bit beaten up when we finished. I'm stiff today, and actually thinking a REST DAY is best.
I had a 'date' with the new friend yesterday, WITH kids. We all met at the Farmer's Market for some shopping and lunch. Then we went bowling, then indoor lazer tag, then pizza to finish off the night. It was great, we had a blast, and the kids all got along. 6 kids, ages 10, 13, 14, 16, 17, and 19. (the 17 yo is the 19 yo's girlfriend, lol) and it was awesome.
OK....time to make breakfast for my boys.
