This morning disc 7. What's with all the push ups?! Lol! I did most with the table top position and my arm were screaming! Oh! And when Cathe say ok now 30.....what the goonie goo goo! My glutes are still sore from Saturday.

Wendi- the 1 rep max test really works for me. :) it really pushes me to use heavier weights.

STS D23/legs today. Awesome work out. Used my new lifting hooks. They worked wonders! I am thrilled!

Terina:: Yeah, M1 is all about push ups. Cathe goes nuts with them. You will be soooo happy when you get to M2. No push ups until the very end of the cycle! It's such a relief! ;):D:p Glad the 1RM's are working for you!

OH MY this morning it didn't look like I was going to get my WO done, @ 5am I sat there and watch 30/30 for the 1st 15 min then got motivated.Within the 1st few minutes of the warm up I was like" i'm tired,I don't feel like this today"and also trying to figure out when would be a good time to workout later in the day. I actually sat down and was ready to take off my shoes. Then the workout bug bit me and I got up and did finished the workout doing most of the 30 seconds intervals except squat lunge thrust(i think thats what it is called) were I only did 20seconds, with my lungs about to burst out of my chest. Also finished up with yoga Abs from circuit Abs......that is one tuff workout!:eek: the guy in the background was shaking and sweating....:eek:

Wendi- what are lifting hooks?

The other day I ordered risers and the mini mat for the step :D

Great job talking yourself into a work out! I can usually motivate myself by saying that I will feel soooo much better when I am done. Usually that works but sometimes nothing works. Sometimes you just need to take that unexpected rest day and not feel bad about it! :)

They help to support a heavy weight in your hands when you are doing things like squats, lunges, deadlifts, etc. I am lifting pretty heavy in M2 and my hands are KILLING me from gripping the heavier weights so this takes some of the owness off of my hands as it supports the weight. I am going to pop for the straps too since they are cheap to see which ones I prefer-hooks vs straps. :)
 
missing you all ... I've been so crazed this year with the house stuff. it really throws me off of my schedule workout wise and with my posting regularly.
Anyway STS disk 33 today at 90% I'm definitely stronger. My cardio fell off this past week though ... I'm short two cardio's.

Wendy - The weight hooks sound really neat. I have pain in one hand and I've been trying to find a comfortable grip. The Dr. said it wasn't arthritis (which I have) but a nerve.
Terina I hated the zillions of push ups in meso 1, then they dis-sapper in the other mesos. Weird.
Off to weed the garden for an hour we have a realtors open coming up and stuff is growing like crazy here in Minnesota.:cool:
 
one hour of weeding turned into 2 1/2 hours ... good thing I'm in shape from Cathe ... anyway .... I'm trying go back to catch up on the posts I've missed.

I will get a killer cardio and some core work in tomorrow. I swear it.

Colleen:: Wow, that's a lot of weeding you did! My mom loves doing that stuff. She sits on the grass with her garbage bag in the sun and will pull weeds for hours..scooting along the lawn on her backside as she goes. :D So what cardio/core work outs will you do today? Yup, the lifting hooks were quite helpful!
 
I hate weeding but my shoulder was out for almost 2 years and to help sell the house now that I'm better I better get out there! I plan do Step Moves or Athletic Step today.
I have gained 5 lbs in 4 weeks. So much for binging, being in a funk and not keeping up with my cardio. A perfect storm.
I have to stay calm when life throws me a curve.
Enjoy your rest day Wendy. Terina, I ended up hurting myself doing the 1r test. That's when I tore my shoulder. The weights I tested out at were really too high for me with the equipment I had. I don't have a weight bench to hold a heavy bar bell and I couldn't afford the tower, either. I got hurt hoisting the bar bell up to do flat bench chest presses and over head dumb bell presses. I may have tested out a 1r but it was too much for me to do and I wasn't wise enough to back off. I didn't realize how unstable my shoulder was because I didn't have any pain.
Forgive my sloppy posting ... if I don't dash it off I'll never get it done.

Colleen love your post its never sloppy!!!! :) You're my hero on the weeding thing.....I could never get into it,don't like working in the hot sun(even tho I worked at a Beach Bar a long time) :mad: lol..

Checking in with disc 8. I my rite arm is stronger than left in some exercises, when doing Cross Body Kickbacks my right arm used 10lbs but my left 8lbs.
Today wasn't as bad trying to motivate myself as yesterday.:eek:

tomorrow I'll be doing Cardio Kicks for the 1st time:eek:
 
Good Morning.

Looks like Terina and I were on the same wave length. She's got Cardio Kicks on the schedule and that's exactly what I did this morning too! I had previously tried using my weighted gloves with 1# in each glove with this work out since I use them for every other K/B w/o I have but it was too heavy and I had to take them off part way through so today I dropped it to a 1/2# per glove and it was perfect! Fantastic sweat! I finished it off with the 4th circuit from JM's BFBM since it's core/ab focused. :)

On the WW front, I was 1# above last friday's weigh-in weight b/c of the festivities I was involved in for my son's B'day over the weekend. As of this morning I am .2 BELOW last friday's weight so YAY! Hopefully that holds or dare I say goes even lower so I can log a loss for this week!!! :D

Colleen:: Nice to see you popping in here more often lately. I enjoyed my rest day but was glad to be back at it this moring also. So what did you choose for y'day's cardio-SM or AS? I love them both. Haven't done SM in a while though. Need to dust it off soon! :)

Terina:: So how'd your maiden voyage with Cardio Kicks go? It's a deceivingly TOUGH work out! Kicks my butt every time!​

I have a new favorite workout! Cardio Kicks is one great workout,tuff but fun. I really like the fact that it doesn't have arm combos like kick max & kp&p ( which I do like).
My shirt was soaked :)

Wendy- you tuff woman you! Weighted glove while doing this WO.....you go girl!

This morning's work out was my 2nd leg + cardio day so here's what I did:

Original BM warm up + Power Circuits
PLB Stability Ball work
6 Minute Abs

Today was my 5th official weigh in for WW and I am ecstatic to report that I am 1.4# down from last week!!!! Really!? :eek: IDK if it will hold but then again, I lost 3# my very first week and thought that wouldn't hold either but it did! YAY! I am now .6# from goal. I'm so excited! :D

Terina:: Glad you loved Cardio Kicks. Adding weighted gloves to kickboxing creates an awesome challenge and added intensity. It's the best thing I ever decided to do! You should try it some time but I'd advise you NOT to start doing that with CK. It's tougher then most and I had to lower the weight in my gloves in order to get through it.

quick ck in .. Step Moves on Wed. perfect work out for me right now. had to work an extra long day yesterday so no work out. Today starts my last week of Meso 3. Chest and Back is on my schedule for today.
Sorry for such a short post but I've learned that posting really does work. I gained 5 lbs when I stopped checking in regularly. :eek:

Wendy- congrats on the weight lost. I ordered a DNA test that will specifically tell me about how my DNA works with losing weight and all that good stuff. Its called the Inherent test

D24, all HiiT from Intensity and some standing oblique work was my work out for this morning. I banged it out early, before my 9:30 hair appt. Felt great to have it behind me so early in the day!

Been busy since with shopping/cleaning/etc...

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend.

Teri:: Great job with M1! Can't believe you are already down to your final week of it! Are you loving it cause M2 is sooooo much better! LOL

PS-Yesterday's weigh in was NOT a fluke. I was the same exact weight when I got up this morning too! YAY!
 
Checking in with MIC. Okay Cathe is Nuts!!! I forgot how tuff this workout is,I did 20 min of aerobics and didn't do the blast at the end of the step segment,and the bonus from disc 9.

Im so loving STS!!!!!

OMG TERINA, I have MIC on tap for today...MAYBE! We are on the same wave length these past couple days. LOL I may opt for something else but I want a nice long cardio so we'll see...I might opt to do 2 different w/o's back to back instead.

So I definitely have some DOMS from D24 this morning. :)

I was bad and suggested the family go out for Friendly's icecream last night. I split some 3 scoop chocolate brownie sundae with DH. OMG, so good! Came home and checked out the nutrition values and almost died! :eek: LOL Half of that darned thing was 13 WW points and I had already met my daily point requirement for the day. OOPS! :p No worries though. Scale is holding steady despite it and as stated above, I'm planning on a nice long cardio today to help burn off some of that chocolate! ;)

Okay! My work out is done! I was doubting I would get it all in because the first part ended up not going too well but I made it work!

part 1-Step Moves combos only (30 mins)...started feeling very weak and shakey about 20 mins in so I grabbed an apple (ate a banana prior to starting mind you!) and nibbled on it thru the rest of the work out. Finished the apple and actually had to sit down on the floor for a few minutes afterwards. :confused: Decided I needed to stop there. I felt pretty nasty. So I rinsed off in the shower and went and got a waffle with yogurt for breakfast and about 30 minutes later I was ready to try again so I continued on with.....

part 2-Circuit Blast- Cardio only premix(23 mins)
part 3-MMA Boxing- u/b blitzes + combos 1+2(15 mins)
part 4-Travel Fit-abs and stretch(10-15 mins)

It's pretty safe to say that I knocked that sundae out of the park this morning! ;):D

STS Disk 33 done Friday, Athletic Step yesterday.
I'm going to take a rest day today. I don't feel too well. Plan to do STS Plyo Legs (always a killer) tomorrow.
Wendy is your workout a "mish mosh" I'm in awe of you making such cool workouts on your own.
Terina Step Moves came with some Hiit workouts that I got last year. ( I think :))
We've had tons of rain and storms for 3 days. Tornado warnings etc. Maybe that's why I feel so leaden. I can feel the low pressure.
My food issues must be dealt with soon. I do well for a few days and then by by resolve.
