SNAZZY Ladies Check In...Month of JUNE! :)

Today was an easy day...HIS cardio-combos only-no blasts-no challenge + 4 mins of planks (1 min prone plank, 15 seconds right leg raised, 15 seconds left leg raised, 30 secs plank push ups, 30 seconds right side plank, 30 seconds right side hip lift, 30 seconds left side plank, 30 seconds left side hip lift) + STS extended stretch.

Easier day today...my legs are soooooo sore-needed to give them a break! I have a doozie in store for tmrw anyway! Yep-you guessed it! Another Body Rock work out!;)

Did HIgh Step Challenge yesterday and Leaner Legs today. Too many high step leg presses in 24 hours for me. But I did it.
Drill Max tomorrow. I leave for Seattle on Thursday and not back until Friday the 24th. I will figure out how to get my workouts in while I'm gone. I will!!!
What is Body Rock?

Nice work outs ladies!

Today's work out was not the BR work out it was supposed to be due to ongoing lower body DOMS. This is what I did instead...

BR Abs and Cardio work out (15 mins of ab/cardio intervals)
BR 500 Mountain Climbers Challenge (5 mins)
Jumping jack/jump rope intervals (5 mins)

Colleen, is Seattle the trip you are taking to take care of your mom? Speedy healing vibes goin' her way! Body Rock is a website that offer daily free work outs! They are awesome! Check it out...http://www.bodyrock.tv/!

Terina, I love kickboxing!

Wendy I'll check out the body rock site. I have a few Cathe downloads on my computer but I won't have access to a bar bell etc.
I head to Seattle tomorrow morning to take care of Mom. I probably wont' be checking in very often since I'll have to find a wifi place. Mom doesn't have a computer.
I'll be thinking of you all for motivation.
Colleen

Good Morning.

So I did STS D27 (S-B-T) this morning. I was torn. I wanted to do the 600 rep BR work out but I would have had to re-arrange my STS schedule in order to do it. I ALMOST went for it but then decided to stick to the plan! ;) I enjoyed the work out. Went heavier again then what the work out card suggested. GO ME! :p

BBL!

HAPPY THRUSDAY!!!!!

Good Morning!!
Yesterday it was disc 17,and i also followed my 1rep max  except for paper plates. Great workout tho!!!

This morning it was BC Premix 1,short but tuff!!!! and circuit Abs no equipment. Glad it was a short one. Only had 4 hrs of sleep:(

Yesterday I received my Inherent test result and found out i'm a fat trimmer which means of course cutting all bad fat and keeping calories low. Which is so good to know because for sure I thought I would be a Carb trimmer:)

Wendy- You are jammin on that BR workouts.....go girl!!!!!
Colleen- don't forget to take care of yourself too!! Best wishes to you're mom.

Terina:: I found the backward lunge to be the toughest paper plate move for me but towards the end of that kind of work I was FINALLY able to up my weights a bit for that particular move. I think the move finally just "clicked" with me. I don't think I had been doing it exactly right before. I don't quite understand the result of your test...is "fat trimmer" what you ARE right now or what you NEED to be in order to lose weight?? I love BR. It took me a long time to just pick a work out and do it. I was agonzing over where to put it in my rotation and which work out to choose. I finally just "let go" a bit and went for it. Glad I did cause now I am finding tons of work outs on that site that I want to try! I am definitely going to concentrate on those work out for a while once STS is done! I will use everything to supplement as needed. Can't wait! :D

friday!!!!!!!

ALOHA FRIDAY LADIES!!!

checking in for today with disc 18, back and bicpes. I did barbell rows with 35lbs and barbell curls with 24lbs  I'm so stoked!!!

Wendi-I copied the results which would be easier than me trying to explain :D

You are a Fat Trimmer! You tend to have a slower metabolism and tend to absorb more dietary fat into your body. To manage your weight more effectively, you could benefit from a diet that reduces fat and calories.

A good diet for Fat Trimmers is very different than a diet for Carb Reducers or Better Balancers. You are genetically more likely to lose weight by following a diet that reduces the calories coming from fat. For that reason, consider how many calories from fat, carbohydrates and protein you’re consuming each day.
The chart below shows the breakdown of daily calories you should aim for as a Fat Trimmer – 20% of your calories should come from fat, 65% from carbs and 15% from protein. Don’t worry if you don’t know how to figure out these numbers yourself right now. You’re not alone – we’re here to help! Start by taking a look at “Planning Meals for Fat Trimmers” on the next page. And remember, you should always consult your physician before beginning any diet.
Set Your Daily Calorie Goal To Include:
15% Protein
20% Fat 65% Carbs

Hope that helps, its a great way to find out youre personal plan specific for your body type. Theres also for bones, nutrition, and heart to see if you have more of a chance of heart disease. I recommend the bone especially i had that one done and it told me that I really need to up my calcium to 1500 so I dont suffer spinal damage, which is weakaning of spine which can cause a curve on upper back and shrinkage.

Terina:: Thanks for the info. So are you going to try doing what they suggest? I went on a low fat diet in my early 20's and was successful with it. My mom has done that too and it's worked for her as well. We did nothing but cut the fat. We didn't pay attn to any %'s or ratios or calories or any of that stuff...just ate everything low fat and lost weight. Good job on disc 18! Feels so good when you see how much stronger you are becoming, doesn't it!? I am in awe of what I am lifting in M3! It's great! :D

Wendy yes I have already started the suggestions from yesterday. I found this cool app on iPhone to track calories. I'm doing 1200 for now. And totally cutting out the fat. I'm excited! I feel that now I can target my eating habits and it seems way easier to make choices.

I'm really amazed at my achievements so far with STS.

Great pic of you're son on FB!

Ohh! I had 1202 calories yesterday :) the app calculated if i stick to the 1200 I should lose 2.(something)lbs a week ..and by July 20th be down 5 lbs :)

have to go do my Mom's eye drops. She had cataract surgery in both eyes and needs drops every two hours. Spent all my wifi time at Starbucks on a Microsoft update so I don't have time to read what you're two are up to.
No workout for two days but I did do Travel Fit yesterday. That felt so good.
I hope to do Hiit 30/30 (no step or equipment needed) later today. I love having some downloads on my lap top. Love them.
Hope to check in tomorrow.

STS D38 (SRL) and D28 (Chest/Back)...DONE! Yup, I did both this morning! OMG!:eek::eek::p

Teri:: 1200 cals!? I couldn't do it. I estimated that I am eating about 1600 with WW. In all of my cal counting I've never gone below MAYBE 1450. IDK how you can do it!

Colleen:: What a waste of wi fi time!:p Was the coffee good atleast? Ever have a java chip from Starbucks? SO GOOD! OMG! But not for us figure watchers!!!

Checking in with SJ&P premix #5. I really like these premix cardios, their short and tuff!!!! that makes 6 days this week, haven't done in a while.

Colleen-I like travel fit.I'm sorry I've never done wifi @ a public place,do they give you a time limit?

Wendy-1200 is not to bad.i'm able to eat more carbs which really helps:D
I do feels way better :D.

Teri:: Well if it works for ya then more power to you! :)

Rest day for me today!

Happy Father's Day to your dads, husbands, brothers, etc! :D

Good Morning.

I slept like crap last night so I'm tired this morning. Got up and worked out anyway though cause that extra hour of sleep would not have been enough to make me feel good....

Today's work out was:
Body Rock 600 Rep Work Out that I skipped last week due to DOMS: BODYROCK.tv | Fitness Advice, Workout Videos, Health & Fitness | Bodyrock.tv + Body Rock On the Floor Abs Challenge: BODYROCK.tv | Fitness Advice, Workout Videos, Health & Fitness | Bodyrock.tv
Took 41 mins total and kicked my butt. Loved it. ;)

Off to chug coffee now...:(

Wendy-wow!!! you go girl with those workouts...the other nite I could not fall asleep so I watched her youtube videos and 1st of all I have to say that chick is ripped!!!!!!! 2nd her workouts are insane!!!!!

for my calories I found a new app on iphone which is a little better than the free one and it upped my calories by 43 so I have a little leeway there :D

Okay for my check in. Today it was disc 19. I don't know what it was but I couldn't get it together,I couldn't get equipment together fast enough, then in the middle of the rest period I hit the remote and sent workout to the begining:eek: so I had to find were I was and also thinking I need to get this done b4 grandbabies get here(time was just flying way to fast). Oh! it also was the very 1st time since beginning doing the STS that I had to motivate myself to do the weight work:eek:

Hi Colleen! hope all is well!

Hi Wendy and Ternina from Seattle. You two are motivating me to get real about my food when I get home.
I did Athletic Step at my sisters house today. Over the years I purchased a step and a few hand weights to keep at my Mom's so I could get a workout in when I visit. I haven't been able to afford to go home for 3 years!
I won't get any barbell work in for almost two weeks but I can do Kick Box, MMA, Step and Hiit no equipment.
I have to check out the Body Rock when I have time to do the internet.
Terina, I know what you mean about the fast equipment changes and then hitting the wrong button and losing my place. That's another place where if Cathe could hear me I'd be embarrassed.
Hope to check in again soon. I fly home on Friday.

My work out this morning was:
Body Rock Sumo Squat Step Up Exercise Challenge (15:57:25 min)
Low Max 1-4 (excluding warm up and blast #4) (about 30 min)
100 butterfly crunches alternating fast/slow rep speeds every 10 reps

Terina:: I've had days like that where you just can't do anything right. Frustrating isn't it?:eek:

Colleen:: Hope you are enjoying the long overdue visit with your mom!
