Slow & Heavy--Love It!

Why did I wait so long???????

I really thought I didn't need this DVD--I've got the Pyramids and the Gymstyles. It just didn't sound very fun to me. After years of debating, I finally ordered it.

I LOVE IT!!!!! I like the pace. And I particularly enjoy how relaxed Cathe is--not on the exercises, but in between. It's so refreshing to have a workout where you can really take your time and stretch in between instead of rapidly moving from one thing to the next--it's a nice change. And I felt so "worked out" afterwards. I could really target my muscles and not divide my energy.

I almost fell on the floor at the end of the tricep dips when she said that her arms were "shakin like a chihuahua." Did she really say that? I laughed so hard! It feels like I'm right there in a practice session with Cathe and the crew--not because the production quality is lacking, but because they are so relaxed and informal.

What a fun and enjoyable experience!

I just LOVE S&H, too! When Cathe says that her arms are shaking like that, I always laugh, too!:p
 
Ditto...I like the slower pace, and having lots of time to rest in between sets does me good. My favorite line is I think during Chest and Back when she says, "You're still with us, right? You didn't pause your VCR and go make popcorn, did you?" LOL!
 
I love it as well - one of my faves and is coming out next week, I do believe :) Some people complain about the pace, but I find it very challenging, yet oddly relaxing . . . in a very, very strange way :7
 
LOVE IT!!! S & H is my favorite weight workout. It's actually hard for me to do any of the others I love it so much. And I love that "shakin like a chihuahua" line, too.
 
I love slow and heavy as well - I am hoping the new STS series will be along the same lines as this one. I love the slow count with heavy weights the 1 minute rest -

You're not alone! I'm in the middle of a 4 week S&H / GS rotation and I'm so sad that S&H is complete now! Hahaha... I have seen a big gain in strength from this one!
 
I like it too. I have other of Cathe's strength workouts but I find I always come back to S&H! It'a like you said Elsie: the exercises are great and hard and yet, the pace and Cathe are relaxed. Great DVD!
