Slow and Heavy Week of Aug. 30th

I ran 4.5 miles and did Tracey Staehle's Core Strength & Conditioning, maybe later on I'll be able to stretch but have alot to do this morning.

I don't have GS Chest and Triceps so I'm not sure what I'm going to do, I'm thinking Chest, Shoulders & Triceps from P90X if I remember correctly there are a zillion push-ups in the workout as well.

Tomorrow GS Legs, oh no!!!!!!!!!!!

I decided to take today as my rest day instead of tomorrow. I will do a cardio workout tomorrow. My triceps are sore from yesterday :D I must say that I love that feeling....makes me think that I worked really hard.

Hope you ladies are enjoying the Labor Day weekend.
 
Hearty, it took me a long time to get up on my toes. Someone here on the forum (I wish I could remember who) helped me with that ~ start doing the push ups off of your step or some kind of higher incline. Then, as you get stronger, start lowering that incline until you finally make it to the floor. That was very effective for me. I'm firmly on my toes now, though I need to work on maintaining depth as the reps climb.

Both yesterday and today were off days for me. Tomorrow I start a full body week ~ 3 days of full body weight training with 4-5 days of cardio. I won't technically being doing S&H, however I feel both slow and heavy, so really...this check-in still works for me. :D
 
I did it!! I did GS Legs, don't know if I'll be able to walk later that remains to be seen, but I did it. Needless to say no cardio today.

heartymax, this web site http://hundredpushups.com/ (if the link doesn't work just google 100 push up challenge) can teach you how to do push-ups on your toes and it works, I'm up to 25.
