Sleep Number Bed or regular mattress???

Sorry but this may sound odd. I have wondered if these bed are *hot* . .
I have a tempedic pillow and sometimes wonder if it's too hot in the summer - It seems to be warm. Are the beds the same? I am past menopause (surgical) so I really don't have night sweats but I do sleep with one less cover on these days.
