Sleep bra?

My whole family will be staying at my brother's house for my niece's graduation. When I stay at other people's houses, I generally sleep in my bra to avoid the possibility of anyone seeing my...uh....gravity issues. However, my daytime bra is painful to sleep in and leaves red welts on my body. Any larger-chested women out there who have found something comfortable yet supportive that might work well under pajamas? Thanks!

Maybe just a cami top? (take this with a grain of salt as it comes from a much less endowed forum friend )

Tami, yes, a sports bra would be fine.

Let me get a bit more specific: I have experience only with underwire bras. Presumably, I'm going to have to spend a few hours trying on non-underwire bras. Any suggestions of what to start with? Any new innovations in the world of non-underwire bras? Any favorites?

Nancy,

I am a Wacoal wearer so I know what you mean about underwires.

I have worn the Barely There brand in this type of situation you described. I am not as big as I used to be (I am a C now) but you can snug them up in the straps a bit. They are very comfy to lounge/sleep in. I bought them at Kohl's.

Victoria's Secret has a very nice bra without an underwire. I had a mole removed several months ago and it left a painful scar under my breast so I had to go out and buy new bras without any seaming or underwires. Go to the store and ask - they only had one or two styles without an underwire when I was there.

Good luck!

Nancy--I sleep in a bra too when guests are over!! I like to sleep in my Champion Sports Bras (I buy them at Target). They aren't too tight and are very comfy.

Freshpair.com has about every brand of bra. Lately Iv'e been buying the Bali I'm an (underwire girl too) and I like the kind with the concealing petals. I have not had a non underwire bra since I can't remember when.

Good luck!

Before the Bali bra's that I'm wearing now I was wearing Victoria's Secret Imax bra's and that was very comfy and I think they have a non wire bra.

I saw a sleep bra on one of those home shopping network channels...dang, I can't remember which one...QVC or HSN...it was butt-ugly but it was being advertised as a sleep bra so if you don't care what it looks like, maybe look there.

The shock absorber isn't bad- and it comes in all sizes- and I mean all!

Oh yippee! I'm not the only one with "gravity issues." I feel so much better now!
I just did a search on sleep bras, and there are a ton out there. I think I'm getting me one. Thanks for the post.

You're right! There are lots of results under "sleep bras". Who knew.

The first one, yes probably has implants.

The second one looks much like the one I wore to bed when I was pregnant, and it was comfy and supportive.
