SJP - gets me every time!

Every time I do SJP as is (which isn't very often ;)), the same thing happens. I start off doing the step, then the first couple of hi-lo combos and weights and I'm thinking, 'Hey, this isn't too bad. It's not that difficult. Look at me, aren't I brilliant, etc. etc.'

Then I get to the lunges and my legs turn to jelly and I am FRIED! From that moment on, I have to take little breaks and push myself to get to the end.

Sometimes I think I must have been a goldfish in a previous life as this happens EVERY time!

Is it just me?! :eek:

I chuckled when I read this. Just keep going girl! I felt the same way this morning thru HE (vol. 1). YIKES!!! Push thru!!!
 
wow, I thought I was the only one. It's definitely not just you. That same thing happened to me when I did low max this a.m. I was going great until the 4th combo & then it was downhill from there but I pushed thru it. Just keep on pushing thru it.
 
I'm looking forward to trying SJP - I've had it forever but am just getting the hang of step and was just cleared to do upper body weight work so am going to put that in my rotation for this weekend.

Stick with it during Step, Jump, and Pump--I always feel great afterwards. Like Low Max and High Step Challenge, I do have to push myself to finish, but it's great when I do.

I'm not a huge fan of Hi-Low, but I do really enjoy the Hi-Low in SJP. I especially love the last cool down, low-impact song. It helps get me to the finish! (Also, I really love the music in SJP. For me, it beats the techno music I hear sometimes in fitness videos. It helps me when I recognize the songs.)

I know!!! I love the Hi-Lo. Especially the one combo that Brenda get's off beat with. It's like everytime I do it I'm exactly off beat with her. LOL!
 
EVERY TIME!! I used to pull it out thinking it would be perfect for an easy day. I learned, finally, after a year that there is nothing easy about this workout. I actually think the step portion is my favorite part. And for some reason, this workout gets my glutes big time! Love it :)
 
I did this workout today for my Xmas workout! It is so much fun! But, if I'd known before I selected this for today that as I was going to have to go shovel snow for two hours I would have done something different! Now I'm ready for a nap!
