Size 12/14 to size 0!

I am late to the party but wondering how the hypnosis is going? Are you still using it. I have tried so many things and diet is my downfall. I took the plunge and ordered the full set as the CDs didn't come separately.

Rhonda

Hi Rhonda! Yes, I'm still using the hypnosis but only occasionally as reinforcement. It really makes a big difference for me. When I have my "craving" days and haven't done the CD's in a couple weeks I know I need to listen again! I have maintained my weight loss and have even lost a few pounds since I orginally posted. I still workout daily and watch my calorie count. My friend/neigbor just ordered some to try so I'll have to check with her and see how she is doing with them! I think you need to do more than just listen a few times, though. Probably daily or every other day while dieting, and then only occasionally as needed.

Thanks, good to know that it is long lasting. I plan to do it each each day as I believe that is how the program is laid out then you decrease as you get to maintenance mode.

Would be interesting to see how your friend is doing. I hope they are delivered quickly. They are not too far from me so hopefully mid week I will get them.

I have no problems working out at 5-6 days a week. Just need the little help or maybe I should say big help with eating.

Rhonda:D

What an accomplishment!!!! You're such an inspiration. At times when things aren't going right, or am having a "fat day," I check the Cathe forum to get myself going on the right track. So thank you!!!!

I am naturally a skeptic and so I am not convinced you are here to say Cathe was the reason why you lost this weight. A- there are no pictures which I feel if you were a size zero you would be flaunting your stuff as others have in other posts and B- the website you gave us for the hypnosis cd's talks about this thread on Cathe's site which only leads me to believe that you are here just to promote that site in a sneaky way. Show us pictures of you and of your collection of Cathe's dvd's and then I can say this is a legitimate thread otherwise I hope others can see this post was made to get traffic @ Tom whatever's website. Just my opinion and I know I may be wrong. Thanks

Your comments are 100% false and obviously you have not read the entire thread. I didn't say Cathe was the reason I lost this weight...I lost the weight because I put in a HUGE effort to eat healthy, count calories, and exercise. I give Cathe credit for helping me lose weight towards the end of my weight loss journey because I didn't come across her DVDs until then...and I absolutely give her credit for helping me maintain it for over a year and a half! I've returned the favor by telling lots of other people about her workouts! My sister is a fitness buff and has been using a gym and personal trainer for years, runs marathons, etc....she wasn't too impressed with my "at home workouts" until she tried Cathe herself and now she is hooked! Also, my realtor called to thank me for my workout advice because she lost 10 pounds!

I have a huge collection of her DVDs and pretty much tossed most of my other DVDs once I found hers. I had been using a lot of the FIRM workouts before, but hers put them to shame! Feel free to quiz me on any of her workouts or "moves" if you must be skeptical. I'd be happy to send a photo of my DVD collection but there is no place to post pics here? I've thought about posting a photo of myself, but never got around to it because the idea of a body picture on the internet for anyone to see makes me uncomfortable. I've thought about a "headless" one, though! By the way, my "success story" is not my only post!!! And obviously the Cathe people have my name and address which they can cross check with my DVD orders.

Frankly, your comments upset me because I've worked my a$$ off (literally! :) ) to accomplish what I did and your trying to discredit me for some reason is not particularly fair. How do you know ANY of the success stories are real? And by the way, I never even mentioned the name of the hypnosis CD's I used in my "success story" posting. I only answered questions as people asked them. Sure, I think they helped me but ultimately I take credit for the weight loss I've achieved and maintained through diet and exercise.

Okay, after thinking about it some more I am a little crabby and want to prove this person wrong lest someone else think that my accomplishment isn't "real". I will take a headless photo WITH my DVD collection! LOL But how do I post?

I am certainly not trying to discredit you at all. If you read what I said I am a skeptic about everything & I said I may very well be wrong. I am also in the marketing business and I know that the new trend is posting on blogs & forums about a product representing themselves as a client and giving their personal success story such as this one. Your first post did mention the hypnosis cds and personally even if you have photos of a headless size zero buff women with the cathe dvds I would still question your sincerity because of the fact that Tom's website refers to this thread as a personal testimony for his cds. HOWEVER if you are speaking the truth then you are an actual success story and no one can take that away from you and for sure you deserve a job well done comment. I am only saying this because your results are quite dramatic and not typical so you can't really question my doubt.

I never named the brand of the hypnosis CD's until later when someone asked!!! And I was sure to point out that you didn't really need the whole "package deal" because I really only listened to two of the CD's. And by the way, why would someone who was a fraud take the time to answer personal questions in-depth regarding my diet, exercise, and everything else? Several months ago I noticed on the hypnosis website that someone had found and linked to this post! It was kind of unnerving but I did email and say "hey that was me!" He emailed back and asked if I would write a testimonial or provide pictures or whatever and I declined! I even hesitated to post my success story here because I am a somewhat private person and this is EXACTLY WHY!

And hey, how about a headless size 0 WITH Cathe DVD's WITH five boys and WITH a note saying "I am a real success story!". Then I will accept your apology.

And another thing, my results were NOT dramatic or untypical. If you bother to read my story, you will see that my goal was 1 1/2 to 2 pounds per week. That is what doctors recommend for healthy weight loss. It was a slow, steady weight loss over many months from counting my calories and DAILY exercise and it IS doable for someone who has the time and willpower. And it is maintainable because I have sustained the wieght loss for over a year and a half. However, I will say that I was always quite thin prior to having kids, and mainly gained the nearly 60 pounds via five pregnancies. That was probably an assest to me going into the weight loss. But no, there was nothing dramatic about my weight loss as far as a quick loss or magic diet or anything.

Hi Mom to 5 boys!!! I am a mom to 3 boys! :)

I have read about your success story since you first posted a year ago! You are an inspiration. I had my last baby boy almost two years ago and I am STILL trying to get the last 15-20 lbs off!!! I have tried..training for a marathon, (and believe it or not, I did NOT lose 1 POUND! I did complete the marathon this last October) CINCH (a weight loss program through shaklee), weight watchers etc.. I am starting to get really down about this because I am hoping to get pregnant this upcoming summer and I do not want to do that with the extra lbs. on my body, only to make it harder to get it off afterwards.

I am in my mid thrities. I work part time and live in very cold Minnesota. I just wanted you to know that I am going to check out the websites you posted about how to find out how many calories you should have. I also wanted to encourage you to post the pictures of yourself! I would love to see your success!

I am glad to see you are still posting (I usually just lurk)and hope to get more inspiration from you sharing your experience and tips. Please email me if you have any other ideas for me or just want to chat about having all boys! :) [email protected]

Thanks and congrats on losing, maintaining and being a mom to 5 boys!

Yours is a *fabulous* success story. What an inspiration! And your wonderful photo (six terrific smiles!) tells so much. You've brought so much health into your life and into your family--it's really great for you to share it with so many here. Three cheers to Momto5boys!!!

You look great! I love the pic with your 5 sons holding the Cathe DVD's! :) I didn't get your email...is there a way you can send it again? [email protected]

I hope to "chat" soon! You are such an inspiration and motivation!

:) Becca

You are indeed a success story! You look fabulous and I'm sorry you had to "prove" it by posting a pic. Geez, louise.

And, how cute are your boys!

(Oh, and your workout room ain't too shabby either!)

You Look amazing...I have two boys and all I can say is BRAVO! And yes, I love the workout room, too!!:)
How cute and proud your boys look in that pic!!!:7

THANK YOU! You are all so sweet with your kind words. I know that my accomplishment pales in comparison with others, but it really did so much for me. Not just appearance-wise, but for my health and self-esteem, too.

The boys enjoyed taking the picture! They were just incredulous that someone wouldn't believe their Mom's story so they were good sports about it! Today my oldest son (14, and the one who was holding the "She is a success story" sign) was helping me unload groceries and I grabbed the box of dozen bakery rolls and donuts that I had bought and jokingly told him "here's MY dinner!" and ran off because I knew he had his eye on some. He retorted "Gee, Mom isn't that going to be a setback to your *success story*?!?" LOL

I do like my workout room...I was so excited to finally have a dedicated room when we built this house. Of course it gathered dust for a few years before I put it to good use! We're building again (moving out THIS WEEK! ARGH!) and decided to use the area under one of the garages as a huge EXERCISE ROOM! The one we have now is great, but with all the equipment it doesn't have a lot of open space. I have a 6x8 aerobics area where I have a mat but it can get tight when I am running around the step trying not to smack into the equipment surrounding me! I made a mistake and put commercial loop carpet in there so a mat is a must! In my new gym, I am having all rubber flooring! It is about 25x25 so the whole family can work out together! I am most excited about all the open space for my cardio workouts! :)

Hi I'm new here - I read your success story and was terribly impressed! I bounced to the end of the thread to read the last couple of comments before posting my reply - and came across the picture of you with your boys. WOW! That is a motivating picture if ever I saw one! I'm currently a 14, down from 16 and fitting into *some* of my 12s. My goal is to get back down to a size 8. I was a 6 for about 12 hours back in 1993 LOL, so I'd love to get down to that but I'll settle for 8. Anyway, I've been doing a lot of working out since losing the initial 17 pounds, and I've lost quite a few inches doing various DVDs and Cathe's basic Step workout. I've been watching Cathe on FiTV and I'm anxious to start adding from her DVD collection because she truly kicks butt!

Thanks for the inspiration!
Trish
