there have been many sincere and caring posts here lately, concerning how thankful we are for our health, family, friends, etc and i am surely one of them who has alot to be thankful for. i would like to start a thread of goofy things we are thankful for....here's mine...a great big bicep vein!!!!!!! finally!!!!!!!}( HappyTurkey DAY

:D I'm thankful that I've got Cathe to push me to finish my workouts! Also, I am thankful for all the wonderful friends I have made on the forums. Not really silly is it?

I am thankful for my favorite cargo pants. I am just now able to wear them comfortable again after a couple of weeks of working out and eating well faithfully. About 10 minutes ago I spilled an entire cup of coffee on them. HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

I am thankful that I can get up with a 35 pound bar bell on my shoulders after doing squats, lunges, etc.

I am thankful that my DH doesn't think I am absolutely nuts for being so addicted to my Cathe workouts!

I'm thankful that I can do a full set of 12 big girl push ups, take a rest & do 8 more right along with Cathe is the Pure Strength Series! I'm getting great arms, thanks to her!

WWWAAAHHH....I want a great big bicep veinx(

I'm thankful for Advil and ice packs for those days when I take my Cathe or karate workouts too far. Happy Thanksgiving to all my cyber friends!

I'm going to interject with a serious note here, and hopefully will not be blasted for doing so, as happened to someone on a recent thread.....

and say that having been sick for a while I am grateful to have learned yesterday that I am not going insane, that I do not have a heart condition, and that my symptoms are panic disorder, which is way better than the horrible sudden death scenarios which had been playing on my mind and fears for the last few weeks. At least panic disorder can be treated and lead to a normal life.

I am thankful that I learned that I have a strong heart with a slow heartbeat because I work out so much.

I am thankful that my husband loves me and is finally beginning to realize that he needs to take more care of his wife because she cannot go it alone.

Perhaps things will start to look up and then I will be truly thankful.

Happy (vegetarian!) Thanksgiving everyone,

Clare :)

Clare I'm so grateful they found a cause for your cardiac symptoms, and yes you're right. Panic disorder is very treatable, and you can live a normal life. That is something for which to be truly thankful, and I'm happy for you!

Oh, Clare, I am happy for you too! It's amazing to me that in September, I was going in circles, unable to complete anything and thinking that my family would be better off without me. The anti-epressant Effexor has restored me to the real me, the happy-go lucky rather sappy woman that I am! Bless you!

I am happy that my 6 year-old son's favorite cartoon is SpongeBob Square Pants because I like him too. And the episode where he buys those fake muscular arms has inspired me that if I can't get bicep veins through my own hard work, I can cheat and no one will know the difference unless one of my arms falls off!

Bobbi I'm so happy you're feeling better now as well!! I love Sponge Bob too!!! In fact, my warm-up scrub jacket I wear at work has Sponge Bob and his pals all over it - LOL!! My co-workers get such a kick out of it!!

I'm off to sleep for a while, then (hopefully!) do Boot Camp, and then eat some turkey and pumpkin pie!! HAPPY TURKEY DAY !!

Oh, Bobbi, me too! I've been taking Effexor for several years, and it's true--it lets me be the real me, not the dark, scared, sad, and completely overwhelmed woman I used to be. Just one more thing to be thankful for.
