Shoulder Issues - Leg Routine

Hi Cathe:

I've been having shoulder issues for several months now and have tried to take it easy on my UB and only working it once per week but I've now decided it would be best to not even do that anymore. (My PT hasn't limited any of my activities but I'm just not seeing any improvement after 2 mos of seeing him).

So my current goals will have to be concentrating on my LB plus cardio endurance.

I'm wondering how to set up a rotation for this as I find when working the LB the next day is pretty hard to get through a cardio w/o. Would it be best to make every 3rd day a rest day? (I'm also thinking that the 3rd day could be a good stretch day or light yoga day that doesn't have too many chaturungas (sp?)).

Any help would be greatly appreciated especially as I want to be in good condition for when STS arrives.:D

Hi MommaPew!

Here is a sample set up but of course you can switch the days to work with your own. Eat clean for optimal results.

Mon: lower body heavy

Tues: Yoga

Wed: core and cardio

Thurs: Lower body light and light cardio

Fri: yoga

Sat: core and cardio

Sun: off

Geat question!! We are in the same boat. No PT here but I also have a shoulder that has been giving me problems again. I did take a few wks off UB & after working it yesterday my shoudler is bothering me today. I hate to do it but think I will take Jan off upper body completely.
Thanks for helping me out too on this. ;)
 
Cathe, thanks so much for replaying. That rotation looks really great. Off I go to sort through my DVD's.

Maynardsmom - glad my question was so timely for you too.

I guess I know what we're doing next month.
