Should I Spend my B-day Money on Insanity?

Or use it to get several other workouts I've been wanting to try? I think Insanity would be a great long-term investment in my fitness program but at the same time, I'm wondering if I might not need it right now, since I'm really lean already. Decisions, decisions...

I absolutely love Insanity. You have to like or need very high impact and high intensity cadio. It is a great long term investment. It is not just for leaning out. It is also for cardio endurance, muscle definition and muscle strength. It is also just plain fun and very hard work. I finished my two months of Insanity and I am still incorporating it into my routine 2-3 times weekly.

Insanity is really great for other fitness goals besides leaning out. You'll also improve your cardio capacity, endurance, stamina, & speed. :)

I've been thinking of buying it for my husband for Christmas... then I could use it too. He isn't very active right now though... he has been doing Cathe's Bootcamp DVD and really likes it but I know that's the only one that he'll do!

I say buy whatever will benefit you the most both in the short run and the long run! I don't know much about insanity....I usually just get more cathe workouts or I do my p90X.

If I had the money, I would spend it on Insanity.

Oh! And Happy Birthday to ya.

Happy Birthday!
And, yes, I would buy it all over, too!! Love it! Makes me sweat like no other workout does!

Happy Birthday!!
Insanity! the best investment ever!! I love insanity.. I'm done with the 60 days rotation and I still doing it.. I've extended for two more weeks..
So if you have the money do it, do it.;)

Another here to plug the intensely wonderful effects Insanity can have on you from energizing you after the workout to shaping your body in a very nice way. Very "Boot Campish" and one of those that you dread putting the DVD in when you are starting but love it after the workout is over - kinda "Imaxish" . . .

I am wondering though, what the difference will be between Insanity and STS Cardio. I jumped on purchasing Insanity since it seemed like STS Cardio was quite a way off in making it to us this year and I wanted something *kick bootie* - Insanity fits that bill. I am another that will be incorporating these workouts in my rotations for HIIT in the future.

I do think STS Cardio will *kick bootie* too though. Sounds like it may be finished here in the next couple of months?

Just a thinking ahead in case you haven't ordered STS Cardio yet . . .

Hi-

I have Insanity and if you are OK with really high intensity, high impact workouts these are for you!

From what the other posters have said, they have gotten amazing results from it, which I'm not surprised.. they are tough and very different from what is currently on the market for high intensity cardio.

But for me, I don't think I could do 4-5 days/week of these workouts. I like to run and do other things and the workouts are all pretty high impact.. I feel more beat up after doing an Intensity workout than I do from a interval run! ( Granted, I run quite a bit so my body is used to it)

That being said, I don't regret buying them and I will use them frequently.. but probably not more than 1x/week.

Take care, Lynn M.

Well I must confess I did not get Insanity after all <blush>. I also came across a necklace I really liked and decided I didn't want to spend all my dough on one thing, not matter how awesome. :)

Other than the necklace I did get Jari Love's Extremely Ripped, as well as The Pit workout and a cross-training kit from Gaiam.

I'm now eyeballing Insanity for Xmas. :D

great XMAS present :)

Im on month one, but highly recommend it!
After I'm done, I'll still keep a few in my rotations.
The workouts are pretty similar, so more than a 60 day program on its would probably get boring. The sense of accomplishment after doing a workout is immense :D

I have Jari's Extremely Ripped - I love it. Those cardio sections look deceptively easy - they are not.

I have not done insanity so my opinion really isn't an educated one, but I'm gonna add my 2 cents anyway. If it was me, I would save your dough for Shock cardio. We are all familiar with Cathe's work and we know that whatever she puts out creates results like no other. I don't think anyone could top Cathe. I do like some of Jari Love's workouts as well. Whenever I do a Cathe video, I always feel like I'm in the hands of an expert. Happy Birthday and let us know if you ever do get Insanity.

In my opinion, Insanity is better than any workout I have ever done (includes Cardio Coach, Cathe, Jari, Tony Horton and any gym group exercise class). I'm very skeptical that Cathe can top it, but if she does, I'll be a very happy consumer.

I think you are missing out if you don't try this program. It doesn't have to be now. It'll be around when you are ready to splurge on it. I think this one will stand the test of time.
