Should I buy Cross Train Xpress DVD

I am building my Cathe collection and want to be able to do almost any rotation without having to substitute workouts. I have almost all the newer workouts and was wondering if the Cross Train Xpress DVD was worth getting. I do have All Step on VHS and LOVE IT!!!!! What do you think? Should I invest about $80.00? Or am I crazy?

i think it si worht it for allthe upper body excercises condensed to one workout, as well as leaner legs.

I'm thinking the same. I have all of Cathe's new ones and I'm trying to build my collection. I'm very tempted to buy Cross Train Express as well as Cardio Kicks. But I'm not sure if its worth the extra cost.

Cheers

How timely! Cross Train Express was one of the few DVD's that I didn't own. I had arrived at a point that I had too many choices and too many premix options that it became almost too complicated to create some kind of rotation or order to do my workouts.

Then I ran a search on this forum on CTX and found uniformly high praise for CTX. Now, I tend to shy away from Cathe's older (2000) workouts because psycologically it is dated. But I wanted to go back to basics and follow a 6 day routine all lined up for me.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE CTX. It is a brillaint format. I look forward to each workout for it's unique focus. Cathe's high wasted pants and shorts do not even phase me like I thought it would. An added plus is that I am an advanced cardio-exerciser and I find each of the cardio segments very effective. I tend to overtrain and lose the effectiveness of a shorter, well thought out routine.

I would recommend CTX in a second. I think it is also a great primer in anticipation of Cathe's upcoming 4 day split routine to be filmed later in June.

X

P.S. I burn anywhere from 300-400kcal per workout.

My answer is YES!

It is fantastic and is one of my all-time Cathe favorites.

It is the perfect 6 day rotation for people with little time.

And there is an option for all the upper body workouts without cardio.

You are NOT Crazy!}(

It is a WONDERFUL compilation of workouts! I pull it out quite a bit for the fun and variety!

Enjoy!

I just ordered CTX. So far I have only done Leaner Legs and the k'box workout, but I am glad I invested. What I like about them is that they are perfect for when you are time-crunched but still want to get a helluva workout. I can only speak for the two workouts I tried, but both packed a serious punch in a short amount of time.

You have tons of options with these two DVDs. IMO, it was money well-spent. I hope Cathe decides to do something similar in her next batch of w/outs.

Thanks for all your responses. I TOOK THE PLUNGE!!!! I ordered it from Amazon.com because it was about $10.00 cheaper.

Hi Cathy,

I hope Cathe does another series similar to "Cross Train Express" because I just love the series.

I think when you do the other workouts, you will be equally pleased with them as you are with the "Leaner Legs" and "Kickbox" workouts.

The cardio in 10/10/10 kicks my butt the most and it is one of the shorter of the series. And although I "think" I have strong triceps, after the tricep push ups, I am hosed!

The Chest work in "Step and Intevals" is killer too!
