Set Design

By your newest BLOG entry I gathered you haven't gotten into the design of the set yet so can I offer my 2-cents?

My first workouts were from The Firm and, while I got nothing from their workouts I LOVED the sets they had in recent years (not those dark old "mansion" sets some loved but I hated). I especially like their most recent set design (a warehouse room bathed in natural light with no other distractions) used for the dvds in the pink/white packaging. Those dvds came out just about when I became bored with the results I wasn't getting and went looking for YOU. Though others may disagree, I like as clutter-free an image as I can get (minus the people and equipment, of course) and feel it helps me focus.

At any rate, I'm on board either way.

This just goes to show how different people's tastes are. One of the things I hated about the recent TheFIRM releases was that empty warehouse set :)

JMHO, the 4DS set was my absolute fave from an aesthetic standpoint but truthfully the set does not affect how hard I work or how happy I am to be with Cathe and crew. Whether I'm gasping for breath, begging for mercy or wonder of wonders, yipping with excitement because I finally mastered a combo or successfully upped my weights, it's all good.

Chocolate IS the answer, regardless of the question.

For me personally, I never care all that much about the set, its the workout that does it for me. With Cathe, I tend not to notice the set as much as I did with other instructors. I'm sure what ever she'll come up with will be great.
Basically I agree with Jonahnah!:)

It must be something about me. Even those grocery store newspaper ads... we were talking about this at work and two of us agreed we have trouble reading them because we perceive them as "cluttered." Everyone looked at us like we were nuts. You wouldn't think I have "clutter" issues if you saw the room I'm in right now...
