seriously, do people really not like kickmax?

I love KPC, and I don't like kickboxing. I've only done KM one time. I am actually inspired to try it again today becasue of this thread. I don't think I actually ever gave it a chance.

Yeah--I cannot get my heartrate up on the workout, and the blasts are brutal for my knees, and the leg exercises are just kind of boring. This is one I rarely use.

So, got kick max the other day...tried it, was disappointed a bit at first...then decided to "revisit" it :) Today, I'm pretty close to LOVEing it. Though I can see myself getting burned out on doing the workout as a whole alot, I will definitely keep this and break it up to use in smaller pieces. Now that I knew what to expect and felt I had more energy today and better form I really got into it. And HOLY PLIE JACKS! SHE'S CRAZY! I actually found myself talking to the TV today begging Cathe not to make me do them...but right on cue she yells work it! and i said...OK!!! haha wooh, sorry the blood is still rushing to my head! Also, I'm going to try to incorporate those leg conditioning drills into my routine every week (prob x2). One, I'm no good at them and want to conquer them and get my leg up as high as Jai's, and two, I have a gut feeling I'll have killer legs if I keep trying them...I feel like these exercises are better than Lotte Berk ANY DAY, alot less boring and I think they are good body weight exercises...almost standing pilates, but much harder. Ok, just my two cents, had to share because I am officially excited about this workout.

Funny you mention that. I've been adding those drills to my other workouts at least twice a week for a couple of weeks now, my legs are definitely looking better, and my endurance and form have improved a lot. In fact I did the drills today and I noticed how high I can get my legs now!!! My improvement is exciting :). It's a good idea to incorporate those drills to your routine and they're less than 20 mins! I love the versatility of the hardcore series.

Rose11,

How exciting! I did the drills again after my power walk this evening...killer. Slowly but surely getting there, your comments have encouraged me even more. Have a great rest of the weekend.

I just ordered Kick Max and I'm looking forward to doing it. I have Cardio Kicks and I have to admit that when I first tried it, I didn't like it too much. I loved the cardio part - that's great - but the drills - I didn't get them. So I mainly did the first 35 minutes, then switched to something else.

Well, yesterday I got an odd bug and decided to do the drills again. This time I gave them my all - 110%, no punches pulled (literally and figuratively). Holy cow! I have a background in martial arts and self defense. I know how to punch and have hit heavy bags a lot. I have NEVER felt those the way I feel these drills. I have a wonderful band of DOMS around my upper abs and back. I'm so excited about working these hard to reach muscles.

I understand the drills in KickMax are tougher. Oh, I'm so excited!

From a few suggestions from this thread and others I did the blasts first, then combo's, and then leg conditioning drills yesterday. That was a much better order for me. I have DOMS today, too. :)
