seriesse skin care?

Hi there:
Has anyone on here tried the continuously clear seriesse skin care line? My skin is breaking out along my jawline and under my nose so I need to change things up. I've tried proactive but it dries my skin out excessively so I'm looking for something else that is more geared for adult skin issues and isn't too overdrying. I'm wondering if this line will work. I've also tried Paula's skin care line, which didn't work as well as I was hoping.

I use retin-a every other night as well. If I use it more than that my skin starts peeling off so much that it's kind of gross. I just need something that will get rid of the problems and not be too harsh. I'd also like it to address fine lines as well, if possible. So nice, getting wrinkles and zits at the same time...grr!!!

Thanks for any suggestions!!!

I'm not familiar with this offshoot of Jennifer's, but I'm a longtime Serious Skin Care customer.

Seriesse's Continuously Clear line looks pretty similar to SSCs. The packaging is different, but the names are the same. *shrug* Go figure.

Honestly, I would head over to Serious Skin Care's site. The Adult Continuously Clear kit is here with the main components (cleanser, acne treatment, and moisturizer) and is much cheaper:

This is an OK kit for me. I still break out a bit with this one, so I need something a little more aggressive. This is what works well for me:

Glycolic Cleanser (love it so much, I'd use it even if I didn't have acne)

Clearz-It

Glycolic Renewel Gel (also love this ~ keeps the face from getting too dry, and gives the skin such a smooth appearance)

Super Hydrate (such a simple moisturizer, yet it's very effective)

When I stray from this combination, my face gets a little more active. When I follow it religiously (and don't introduce anything new and irritating to my face ~ See *Acne Hand Grenade), my skin is as close to "perfect" as it can be. Very smooth and even, and only the occasional pimple.

Sometimes I need something even tougher. Clear Complexions (the people who originally cleared my skin years ago) offers Benzoyl Peroxide in 5 and 10%. I have the 10% on hand for the rare times when my face goes totally wonky. **It's like a hand grenade for acne!

Thank you! It's definitely much cheaper at the serious skin care website and after reading through I found that the two are "sister" companies. So, I'll be able to try out the products at a cheaper price.

Thanks again! I hope it works for me.

I hope it works too. :) I know finding that right combo of products is such a pain in the butt.

The Glycolic products can be intense at first. My skin is used to them now, but when I first started, I was flushed for a week or two. Clear, but flushed. That eventually went away and left me with pretty skin.

The higher % BP lotion will do that too, so you must be careful if you try it. When I first put that stuff on (back when I had never used BP before), I was directed to only leave it on for 10 minutes a day. At first I thought, "Oh please, how is THAT gonna help?!"

Sure enough, my face felt like it was on fire in the beginning. But I cleared very quickly. Fortunately, you do develop a tolerance over time.

The products, both SSC and Clear Complexions, last a long time. A little goes a long way.
