Anyone watch this show? I do, and I like it. But the acting in it seems so fake. Even Molly Ringwald seems to be reading cue cards when she speaks in this show. Drives me crazy.

I think I like this season better then last. Lots of good stuff going on right now.
 
I'm the only person I know who watches it...maybe because I'm 43 =) !! It's good to know I'm not the only one. The one thing that is driving me crazy this season is Amy's attitude. I know she is stressed being a teen Mom but she is really being quite a little brat. I hope they tone down her behavior a bit so I can like her again. I think they all are descent actors but I think their lines are a little stilted. It may have to do with the writers finding a balance of natural dialog and trying to get a message across. The shows seem a little like PSAs. It's funny, the other night we watched the movie The Insider and I spotted the girl that plays Amy's red headed friend-can't think of her name- playing Russell Crowe's character's little girl. She maybe had two lines but it was her.
 
LOL! I'm 43 too and I don't know anyone else who watches this show either.

That redhead was also on Still Standing, she played Jamie Gertz's daughter on that show.

I also don't like Amy's attitude and I hate how she is treating her boyfriend. Can't think of his name to save my life. He's another one who's dialogue seems fake. I'm bummed that John Schnieder isn't on anymore. I was shocked when they killed him off. :(

Another closet Secret Life and Make It or Break It adult watcher! :p I'm 37. I agree with everything posted. As the mother of 3 teen age girls I am often horrified and try to convince myself it's complete fiction...my daughters often disagree....although the college age daughter can't stand it. I love George! He's such a dork but means well...he makes me laugh....betting he's the baby daddy.
 
Oh I am so comforted by this! Hello, my name is Patti, I'm 35 and I'm addicted to bad teen television. :D It cracks me up that they write those lines for teenagers. Teens would never say that stuff! But do I watch? YES. It's fun to see Molly Ringwald again, although it makes me old that SHE is now that old.
 
I watch the show. If you like this one, you might also like Greek, FYI.

My husband thinks it's funny that I watch shows like this one. He always asks me how old I am. My "excuse" is that I'm a high school teacher and thus need to stay in touch with their world.

I agree that the acting's pretty terrible. I also hate how much lip gloss Adrianna wears. Enough already, girl! Less is more!
