SCARIEST Halloween movies????

RE: Kelley!

Too many to mention. But I think Pennywise in IT was scary "...We all float down here..." Clowns give me the creeps now.

Just last night I watched Hell Raiser and I definatly found that to be pretty scary! The Ring was also a great one, I still can't deal with the part where the girl comes out of the tv! I take cover with my blanket! If I had to pick a favorite I think it would be The Shinning with Jack Nicholson.

speaking of scary movies, anyone going to go see the new movie with Eddie Murphy in it called : The Haunted Mansion"? it looks like it is going to good and might even say with some laughter to it also.

The Shining
Salem's Lot
Pet Sematary
Blair Witch Project
Misery
Psycho (didn't see the original, but am referring to the early remakes, from I think the 1980's)

Crazy people/supernatural stuff really freaks me out. A friend told me how scary "The Ring" is, and I refuse to see it! (In fact, I have no desire to see the above movies ever again!)

(I forgot to mention, as I was reading and responding to this post, I was watching a show on the Travel channel called something like, "On Location: Horror Movies." They were talking about The Exorcist...now it's Amityville Horror!)

Psycho was on last night and I watched it for the first time all the way through. It's a bit dated now (Janet Leigh's screams in the shower sound like she nicked herself shaving), and not as scarey as when I was a kid, but watching it you can see the techniques that so many others have copied over the years. Truly a classic for all time.

Editing to say I regret that I've never seen the original Halloween, which I read is one of the best ever. I keep looking for it in the TV guide, but they just keep showing all the sequels, which I'm not that interested in.

Does anyone remember a movie called the Eyes of Laura Mars with Faye Dunaway back in the seventies? I still remember how scared I was.
