Same benefits without stability ball

Dear Cathe

Congratulations on the new series. I am really enjoying all the new tapes. My question is am I getting the same benefits without using a stability ball and by following Brenda? I really don't want to have to buy one as I have nowhere to put it, unless it is in the middle of my loungeroom.

Thanks
Cathy

Stability balls are awesome in so many ways. For example, a ball is better than a bench for weight lifting b/c it builds core & balance. FYI, if you want double duty for one, Gaiam.com has a metal base on wheels that converts it into a swivel chair. Balls have gotten cheaper (about $15)--look for one w/foot pump. Worth the investment!

Hi Cathy! Honestly, while you will still receive benefits doing the offered modifications, you will not receive the same benefits. Using a stability ball brings a whole new dimension to the exercises. It requires many more muscles to fire since they are on a non-stable base working hard to maintain control. I strongly encourage you to get one if you can. It will give your "lounge" room a whole new meaning:)

I completely agree. My core muscles have never been this sore, ever!
It hurts to laugh! It didn't even feel like I was working all that hard to be this intensely sore. It truly gets you!!

Many folks use their stability ball as the seat at their computer at home. I did for a long time and it worked out great.
