Salad Bars...Be careful

I guess most people know this but be careful of salad bars. New worries:

Good grief, just the thought of a salad bar makes me break out in hives. I haven't eaten anything from one of those "sneeze shield" covered, microbial nightmares, in at least 20 years.
I don't partake at "potlucks" either :-(

Yuck - I hate buffets for that very reason. My in-laws love this NASTY buffet that has NASTY greasy fingerprints all over it. There is almost nothing healthy there. The NASTY "salad" bar has the most NASTY disgusting toppings for the NASTY water-logged iceberg lettuce.

Did I mention this place is NASTY???:7

I must exclude Ruby Tuesday from being a salad bar to avoid. Almost every time I'm there I see someone w/ a thermometer checking temps. However, they aren't checking for bacteria. Yuck.

I can't stand the idea of salad bars. No matter where they are I just see them as a breeding ground for bacteria. This also applies to most buffets. Tho salad bars are just so unappetizing. Never eat from one.
