S&H plus PH combo

Hi, everyone!

I apologize if this question has been asked a million times before, but I was getting lost in a sea of threads when I tried a search!

My question is this: I have been doing the S & H series for about 6 weeks, adding a 4th set to each exercise, and usually do PS upper body later in the week to work each muscle group twice. I'm getting a little bored with the same rotation. I have PH (but haven't used it yet), and was wondering what anyone might think about their compatibility. Just for the record, I also have these options: CTX weight portions, Bodymax upper body portion (I haven't done either one of these yet), and MIS for weight work. Do you think that PH is a good addition to S&H, or would I be doing myself a disservice by adding an endurance versus a strength workout?

My goals are strength and definition! We all want that, don't we?! :)

Thanks for any input you may have!

Yes!

Hi, Denise~I think S&H and PH work together VERY well. As a matter of fact, that is the rotation my DH & I will be starting next Monday. I have used the two series together in the past, and have been very happy with the results. I have more definition on my upper body now then I have ever had. I also found that I was stronger after coming off that rotation. S&H really does that for you. I don't want to say it is only that particular rotation because I constantly shake things up. (every 3-6 weeks) The "Tank Top Rotation" is a good one too. Just wait til you try PH! It is one of my very fav Cathe tapes and the time just flies by. The music is soo motivating. Let me now what you think after you try it. Good Luck and keep us posted.

RE: Yes!

Hi, Debbie!

Thank you! I'm so glad to hear that you tried this combo and had some success with it! I agree that mixing it up is the way to go. It keeps me looking forward to working out, as well as keeps the muscles guessing! What a shock PH is going to be after using S&H for so long--hope it doesn't hurt toooo much! :)

I also have had my eye on the famous tank top rotation for a while. I'll probably do it after I try this combo for 3 to 6 weeks. I will definitely post to let you know how it goes..I'll most likely be doing it for the first time on Friday. Yay, something new to try!

Debbie, if I remember correctly, you are a Powerstrike fan, right? I got them recently and just love them! Tough, tough, tough--great for days when you want to work up a good sweat but don't want to jump around alot!

Hi, Denise!

Have fun Friday. No doubt, it will be a winner for you! PH is a GREAT tape! Yes, I love the Powerstrike tapes. They definitely work up a major sweat. I used both tapes for three weeks straight when I first got them, but have not used them for awhile due to doing my classes, my normal Cathe's & adding jogging to the mix. Too many tapes and not enough days. It was in the mid 90's today, so I opted for a spinning tape instead of the outdoors. I've been neglecting my spinning too. I'll tell you what, it was hard today. Your muscles sure remember if you stay consistent. Mine had forgotten! I miss doing the Powerstrikes. I think maybe Friday or Saturday I'll fit one in. The other day will be my weekly fix of IMax!! Report back after Friday about PH. It's soo much fun that you won't notice the "hurt" too much :7 (LOVE the bicep section!)
