Ryka Shoes

I have heard Ryka shoes are awesome. Does anybody have an opinion about them and are they true to size? I usually wear a 7 1/2, but in Nike's I wear an 8.
 
true to a little small

with most styles that I've had, there's much better forefoot room than in Nike shoes...but I still went up a half size from my usual size. Ryka's are definitely my favorite studio/aerobics shoe! Comfy with good cushion. I think I ordered mine through Zappos.com which is nice to be able to return easily if needed!

I really like them too. I bought them on the recommendation of many of the women here, and I have been very happy. Most people suggest ordering 1/2 size larger in Rykas.
 
I love Rykas....but now I have discovered Under Armour which I like even better. I also recommend going up a half size.
 
I also converted to Rykas after nothing but good about them on the forum. I always wore Reeboks & NIKE. Let me tell ya I wouldn't go back. In fact I returned a new pair of Nikes after getting the ryks, more room I thought. I also bought a 1/2 size up.

Maybe I'll try those Under Armours, any particular one you would suggest?
 
Thanks for the link, Beavs. I tried Rykas and ending up sending them back. My New Balance shoes are working well enough, but I could use a little more cushion.

Do you use them for step & kickboxing or are they more for weight training? TIA!
 
Yeah, I noticed they offer both the Proto Speed and Proto Evade. Wouldn't Evade be better for step?

I tend to over pronate a bit (I'm trying to correct that as best I can, but I doubt I'll be able to eliminate it completely), which is why the Rykas weren't cutting it. There just wasn't enough to keep me from collapsing a little too far inward.
