Runners Check-In May 24 Wednesday

Ooh, which Christi Taylor did you order?? I have her Fantastic 4 that has Hi/Lo Heaven & Step Heaven, & Still Steppin' & Still Jumpin'! I'm intersted in this Mr. Yummypants from hearing so much about him though!! ;-) Enjoy your new workouts!!

Hugs,

Thanks, Mattea!

I know, I"m kind of a nut when it comes to workouts. I love a challenge which is one reason that I love Cathe's workouts so much! I'd begun to get bored w/ most of my other ones. And thanks for the sweet compliments!!

Great workouts today too!! The GS series is the next on my list to buy!!!

Hugs,

I did PUB y'day & my biceps were a bit sore today!! (but in a good way, I love it actually!) I see everyone talking about P90X & AbRipperX, what type of workouts are they?? I don't think I've heard of it!

ITA w/ the finding cheaper joggers on sale in the papers too. I *almost* bought one at a garage sale last week for $30, but since I have a jogger/ bike trailer one I restrained myself!!! :p

Thanks for the compliments too! It's great to have company just to *use* them to get out for a solo run at any time!! ;-) No really, it was great having my Mom here & her visit was too short..

Hugs,

Ooh, a massage!

That sounds wonderful! I'm glad that you enjoyed it & it looks like it was a nice boost to your great workouts! One of these days I'll splurge for a massage....

And just wanted to say that you look AWESOME!! You are a marathon woman!! WOW!

Hugs,

EVERYONE HERE SHOULD HAVE MR. YUMMYPANTS!! The DVD has 3 workouts that are just so awesome and the price at amazon.com is so reasonable.

Wendy, I'd definately check local papers and garage sales for that stroller! You can find a heck of a deal!

Barb, So sorry, but I am laughing so hard! Your story is so cute and exactly what I needed! See mine will not stop talking. They hit the "constant chatter" phase and it has been making me so tired. I love them with all my heart and thank God for them every day but the non stop can get to me because I am very much an "enjoy the silence" type of gal. After your story, I have a new appreciation and a healthier outlook! Thanks so much!

Hello to all of you!!:) I was thinking of you guys during my 4.1 mile hill run last night. It went really well, I am so thrilled with how I did. Knowing you guys are out there busting your butts is very motivating! You all make me so proud! Each one of you is so beautiful and determined and I love watching us progress!

Keep up the hard work!;)

Good afternoon runners!

Today is a much better day. :) I got my run in early today, and I followed the schedule -- nothing extra, well I ran a little faster than usual, but it felt good. :)

Thanks everyone for letting me vent yesterday. I was really down yesterday, and truthfully I think I just chose to direct it all towards the weight.

Barb, Jess, Mattea, and Elaine thank you so much for your kind words and encouragement. I really appreciate it, and thanks for helping me see what should have been obvious. I just finished a strength rotation, and the last time I did a strength rotation I registered a gain at the scale, but my clothes fit better. I'm sure that between the strength rotation, the recent increase in running, and the increase in my appetite there were bound to be fluctuations. I've made a few poor food choices here and there, but I can honestly say overall my eating is under control, but I will increase my water. The last time this happened it seemed to go away after I increased my water intake. Also, I think this will be a recovery week. I'll just focus on the 5k training schedule and add in P90X next week.

Wendy, I can't wait to hear what you have to say about running outdoors. I hope it's a beautiful day.

Okay enablers, I know you weren't trying to enable me, but now I'm curious. I know Carole has suggested Mr. YP :+ (I can't even type that without getting embarrassed :)) to me in the past, but I've resisted because I'm not a big yoga fan, despite the fact that Carole gives great advice. I'm heading over to amazon right now to buy that dvd. (I won't mention that I've been trying to convince myself that the fittv version of slow & heavy is good enough for now so that I won't whip out my card and get that too. ;))

Jess, I hope you enjoyed your mom's visit, and Karen, ICAM about visits from moms. My mom surprised me today with a visit. She stopped by after her doctor appointment and stayed for a few hours. It was great, and just what the doctor ordered. (Okay, confession -- I talk to my mom almost everyday, and she and my dad only live 30 minutes away, but it's still great when she comes over. It's like she knew I needed the kind of encouragement only a mom can give. :))

Hope everyone had a great day!

Okay okay!!! I will check out both Mr. YummyPants AND a used jogging stroller over the next few weeks...jeesh!:p :7 ;) }(

Edited To Add:
Cr@p! I forgot Mr.YP's real name!HELP!

I typed this once before but it could be anywhere because I don't see it here!!

Wendy, Mr Yummypants is Bryan Kest.

I never tried yoga until a few months ago thinking it wasn't something I would like. I have P90X and did YogaX from that and realized that I DO like yoga. So now I have several DVDs. Bryan Kest is by far my favorite.

Jess, P90X is a workout series available from Beachbody.com. I have started, but not completed, a P90X rotation. That wasn't because I didn't like it though. I actually love the workouts, I just got sidetracked. Anyway, they focus mainly on upper body strength and are totally different than Cathe or the Firm. Carole, Christine and Sarah have way more experience with P90X than I do so I'll let them take over from here.........

Thanks Elaine!:)

In regards to running a 5K...I'd LOVE to one day! I was looking on the net for info on that tonight for future use. :)

I'm going to check out Mr. YP on Amazon before hitting the hay.;)

Good Night everyone!:)

I doubt anyone will see this tonight and I'll try to post it again tomorrow, but Mr. YP (Bryan Kest) is a much better deal on deepdiscountdvd.com $12.49 and free shipping. I've ordered from them numerous times and the service has always been fast, dependable, and excellent.
Good night ladies!
Mattea
