Rounded Belly Gals Aug 2nd

Hi everyone

Well, I was supposed to go to Chicago tomorrow to see my dad but Brooke wet her pants twice yesterday and once today and when I asked her why she told me "I missed you." I had a feeling that she was feeling the strain of the past week and now I know she was. So, DH took the afternoon off tomorrow and we are taking her to a local fair. Guess I need to balance things a bit better.

Priscilla - I'm so happy that everything turned out alright. I remember stressing over weight gain when I had my DD. This time I'm just not worried about it at all. I think that when there's worry about whether the baby is healthy or not, weight gain concerns tend to take a back seat to our concerns about our baby's health. My biggest gain was also at week 20 w/ my DD and I gained 10 pounds that month.

Dawn - Your parents are going to love the web cam to watch your little one grow. I know what you mean about wearing out easily-I was talking to a friend the other day who just had a baby and she said she couldn't believe how much energy she had after giving birth because she just felt more mobile and less winded. I hope she's right.

Jen - How do you like Amy Bento? I keep thinking I would like to try her kickboxing but I just haven't done it yet.

Susan - I'm impressed that even after not sleeping well that you still worked out. I know
what you mean about feeling huge.

Melanie-Advanced maternal age! I don't know why I find that funny but I can just picture you whacking someone upside the head for that one. Go for it.

Allison - Sounds like you're really getting things settled. It's hard to believe you're soo close. Glad to hear your DD is transitioning well to the big bed.

Oh and who else has a Facebook page?

Melanie- sad thing is I have worn bifocals for 3 years already!!!!!! Glasses since the age of 4!!! I have to use reading glasses with my contacts..but thats ok.
Allison-I got a pair of maternity jeans! I figured it might be cool enough at some point and I may need them between now and then. Most likely sweat pants for a couple months after Kara is born!
Wendy-I know your heart broke from Brookes comment. Bless your heart and hers!!

Wendy, I think it's wonderful that you and DH are dedicating the day to Brooke tomorrow. That had to be heartbreaking to hear. It's so difficult to be pulled in so many different directions, all of them so important. Hugs to you.

Susan, LOL! I plan to wear my maternity jeans in the fall too. ;) I was thinking you expected to be back in normal clothes right away, and dang was I jealous LOL

Melanie, dressing little girls is FUN! I'm not big on girlie-girlie stuff either, but I love little girl clothes! We didn't know what we were having last time, so we didn't have an explosion of pink clothes and accessories. I had saved all my girl clothes, convinced we'd have a girl if we ever had another (DH has 2 girls and a boy from his first marriage -- so with 3 daughters, I just assumed... :)). So now I'm forced to start all over! I met a nice lady at Babies R Us in June; she had a little girl in July. She happily took all of DD's 0-6 month clothes. Unfortunately, my 6-12 month girl clothes aren't in sync with your due date -- DD was an April, so the seasons are off -- otherwise I'd offer you what I have. There MUST be twin-stuff-swapping sites you can use to help offset the costs!!!

Morning!
Last night wasnt so good. Wasnt the worst but I'll be tired today. I fell asleep with Haley until 1 then couldnt go to sleep..no hip pain yet...but couldnt sleep until 3...it felt like Kara was doing cartwheels for 2 hours. Then Haley wakes up from a bad dream and I go get in bed with her. She must hold my hand so I couldnt get in a comfy posiiton. Then the hip pain starts..in both hips! Its not sciatica..just achy hips from side sleeping. Im drinking my one small cup of coffee and not feeling too bad now. Enough complaining!

Allison-girl Im aiming for spring to be back in my old jeans!

Melanie-do you have today off??

Wendy-have fun at the fair and remember you are a great mom and daughter!! I do have a facebook back, although I am not good about updating it etc. You can find me under Susan Wood Kline

Morning Dawn, Christine, Jen, Kristine, Pricilla...hope I didnt miss anyone..Im still half alseep.

Goodness! You ladies get chatty at night!

Wendy- I am very surprised because I do like Amy Bento. I like the fact that in Kickboxing Extreme that one of the ladies is pregnant so I follow her modifications. I only have two wo's; In the Ring and Kickboxing Extreme. Not sure if I will ever get more. That is so touching about Brooke's comment; I bet it broke your heart. Remember, you are doing the best you can and I think its great that you took time to spend with her today. You are a great mommy! I also have a FB, you can find me under Jennifer Rowe Napier.

Susan- I have one pair of maternity jeans that a friend gave me that I can wear but since I am in FL and it is summertime, they haven't been worn too much, except maybe at night to dinner. I plan on wearing them after James is born but hopefully not for long! Sorry to hear about the sleep last night. Coffee helps me in the morning, it's the afternoons that kill me!

Melanie- I am not big on girlie clothes and neither was DH when we started thinking about it before we know James was a boy. I love the little pink tank tops and pink camo shorts and things like that. DH saw a frilly pink dress one day and said "Our daughter would NEVER wear that!"

Dawn- That's funny what you say about the sticks. That is how I have felt the last two nights. James doesn't move a whole lot during the day but come 9pm, he starts poking, tumbling, kicking, etc. DH laid his head on belly the other night and got a good WHOMP upside the head! It was pretty comical! :)

Waves to all the other beautiful preggos!

Good Morning!

Oh Susan, I am there with you! Everyday is getting harder and harder to sleep soundly. I also get the hip ache (I'm used to sleep on my back) and I find myself sleeping on my back from time to time, only to wake up with pain in my ribcage. It's all worthy though, everytime I think my little one is getting bigger I just smile.
I wore contacts for the longest time and then got the Lasik surgery done. I don't regret it. You might want to find out if you're a candidate for it.

Melanie, I agree with Allison, dressing girls is fun. I have three nieces (the oldest is almost 2 y/o and I got matching dresses, so much fun. You'll be fine
Melanie, you know, I thought about asking my dr the same thing but I opted for letting it go. I was upset but not anymore. The perinatologist wasn't to helpful either, he would not give any recommendations either. I basically had to process all that info in few minutes and decide if I wanted an amnio right then! Oh well...

Wendy and Allison, it seems that week 20 is the magic week for weight gain. I gained all that weight from 18-22 weeks.

Wendy, I hope you have lots of fun with your family in the fair!! BTW, I have facebook, you can add me (Priscila Luperon)

Jen, I thinks that's the best we can do, just rest in the Lord and try to enjoy every moment of it. I forgot to tell you that you look great. I saw your pics in facebook and you have that pregnancy glow for sure.

Dawn, I can fel the tap dancing too, DH has felt him a couple of times. He's more active at night and when I can't fall asleep I just like feeling him moving all over the place ;)

Hi Cee, Kristine, Christine and everyone else!

Pricilla - So glad that after you had so little time to make a decision, that you are confident in the one you made. I am glad everything seems to be settling out.

Melanie - Congratulations on two little girls. I have been telling everyone that girls get the cute clothes and boys get the fun toys. You not only get to discover dresses, but matching bows. My SIL has custom made bows that perfectly match my niece's cute dresses. It will also be so fun to see what your boys do with little sisters.

Jen - My son wakes up around 9pm too! I think it has something to do with when I lay down he has more room to squirm. So far DH has managed to avoid getting kicked in the head :p

I am in a simple pleasures mood, so here are mine for Wednesday:
I had my teeth cleaned and so enjoy the way they feel.
I saw a turtle in the road this morning. He got scared by my car and tucked inside shell as I drove past.

Yes, I have the day off. :)

I turned down the quad test and the amniocentesis test. The peri informed me that Level 2 u/s can only detect 60 percent of down's syndrome....but everything looked PERFECT,...why risk losing/hurting the babies? And....what would we do if we found out they were downs? We wouldn't terminate our angels. Just makes no sense,.......but again, with "my advanced maternal age" they had to offer it me.:rolleyes:

I was agitated b/c I specifically said I did NOT want genetic counselor to meet with us. We had it done with baby #2 and it showed nothing significant. Nothing has changed genetically since then,...and I thought it would be a waste of time & money. Well, they scheduled one anyway. And that made me mad!!!!! I even told her, it was unnecessary,...and she said, "Do you mind if I ask you a couple questions anyway?". What was I supposed to say? "How much are you going to charge me for your questions?". LOL The sad truth is it will be b/w $300-$500 for her consult.:mad:

Wendy, it sounds like your on top of things as much as you can be. Does Brooke have a special friend she could hang out with for a day to give you a little emotional umph? Thanks for the encouragement about the frilly girlie things. I just don't see myself dressing my kids super girlie (as much as it'll drive everyone mad).!!!!

Yup! I have the two days off. Today & tomorrow. Tomorrow I have my routine ob/gyn appt. Almost seems like a waste after having peri appt on Monday,.....but they didn't weigh me, or measure, or do any of the routine stuff at peri,...it was just a complete u/s evaluation. It just sucks that it means another 4 hours on the road for me. Oh well, that's the price for living up here.

Oh........and I want to buy something for the girls. Like new outfits. I haven't bought anything yet. I feel like I can now.

Precilla- My friend had the same problem with her son, he was fine by delivery! Halthy thoughts coming your way.
Melanie- So happy for you, what a change to yoru household of men! You will be sprouting bows all over! You will have to take adavantage of each and every "buy one get one free sale." Hee hee. That is lousy about hte genetic counselor. I felt the same way.
Wendy- my heart hurt after reading your post. I hope you all had fun at the fair and a lot of good laughs. And some funnel cake. I know that you are being pulled in so many directions and that must be agonizing. Your dad knows you love him, your daughter knows and needs a few extra smoochies. Wish I lived closer so that I could pitch in.
Susan- My friend has the same back/pelvic pain. She is due when you are as well. I am so sorry. I know firsthand how miserable she is, and wish there was more than Tylenol. 10 weeks left? Just think, percocet is just a delivery away!
For all those who think they are gaining weight, I have taken weight gain by storm. Holy moly. I gained 6 pounds in 2 weeks. My body is on a mission! I was like this with my son, huge weight gain from weeks 20-26. I was hoping that it would go differently. I just got back from San Diego, where I took my son to see his cousins and my sister. She commented that i get bigger overnight. And that my boobs could feed a small country. Great. Too ironic since this cafeteria is closed for business and I am doing formula! Jimmy (my son) and I went to Legoland on the way home. I have never seen him so happy. They have a little person driving school and he got a driver's license with his picture on it. And he got to have pizza and orange soda, which he never gets! It was a long drive home for a preggo bladder, though. He was asleep in the back seat and I did not want to wake him up, so I peed in his overnight diaper. Let me tell you, absorbency is minimal in those things. So, I had to pull over and take off my pants to wipe all the pee off the seat, which woke up my son, who decided he had to poop. Great. I drove home with no pants and a big belly and a lot of stinky car. But it was still fun!
Hi to all my other preggos, I will get to more personals later, need to try to exercise. I put Jimmy upstairs for nap with his doctor kit, I think I hear nemo getting a blood pressure check in there. He may also need shots.

Priscila and Jen - I tried searching for you on FB but could not get any results under Priscila Luperon or Jennifer Rowe Napier.

Christine- The image you painted of driving home was funny but hey, you do what you gotta do! I'm glad that you and DS had a good trip! I feel like I have gained the majority of my weight from weeks 20-26 too.

Wendy- How can we find you on FB? Maybe we can try it that way???

Well, no workout tonight but I did a premix of KM last night and thought I was going to be super sore today but no go. I did take a warm bath and one Tylenol before bed so don't know if that helped??? It's funny because I feel more like myself with working out and my eating this last week or two than I have the whole pregnancy. Weird???

Melanie- Good luck at the appt! You should buy the girls something, I think you've held out long enough!

Priscilla- Thank you for the sweet compliment! You look great yourself little lady!

Ok, I noticted my first varicose vein today. A huge one on the back of my right leg. I didnt get any with Haley so it kinda freaked me out. Talk about ewww! I"ll get over it though!!
Walked 3 miles this morning. Had a run in with Oreos...I had 4 and they were GOOD! If we had ice cream I would of had some too. Haley and I did some shopping today. She got a few outfits and we got Kara 5 oufits..so cute....and on sale!
Hoping to sleep tonight!
Paul took a picture of me last night with my boxer shorts, tank top and belly grease on. Its hilarious. If I didnt look so horrible I would post it...but its not a pretty sight!
I am getting bigger by the day and more uncomfortalbe. I get Brx Hx all the time.
Hope everyone sleeps great tongiht!

Susan, I want you to post the sexy pic of you with your boxers on!!!! PLLLLLEAAASSSSSSEEE! :D :D Oh,......and I'm having trouble feeling sorry for you with your "one" vericose vein. TRY HAVING YOUR VAGINA VULVA & LABIA SWOLLEN TO THE SIZE OF PEACHES. Sorry, that was insensitive , ...darn hormones. They get carried away sometimes.

Wendy, I wished I lived closer to help out too. :(

Christine, sounds like you're doing well.

I can't wait until my weigh-in tomorrow! :D :D

Melanie-ouch..ok you win. I won't complain anymore..promise! I will emial you the unsexy picture of me! You can really see how huge I am!

Melanie- I have never laughed so hard. Where do you get underpants to house that? Just kidding. Thanks for a chuckle.

Christine~ I have have spent quite some time evaluating my vaginal labia with a hand mirror. It's really alien-like. I don't know what's more hideous, my labia or my rectum leaking out of butthole. Ewwwwww. Thank God pregnancy isn't forever. :D :D

Susan~ YOU have made my day. :D :D LOVE IT.

So what should I buy my girls tomorrow? Outfits?

You are all so sweet. It's nice to know I can come to you all when I just need to vent. I feel like my "local" friends have seen my tears all too often and I'm tired of burdening other people. So thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

Melanie- Thanks for the chuckle, I needed it. You sure have a way of creating visual images. You should be a writer.

On Facebook, I'm Wendy Merten Boone

Melanie- Maybe some outfits for the girls and Prep H for you!!! You might want to ask the doctor to snip things when yo uhave the girls, so you do not get awful post baby hemmhorroids. I had a bad problem, got a lot of the "grapes" and spent many hours in a prctologist office having them removed. Apparently, those can be snipped while you are all drugged anyhow, and get relief. Might be worth it. My labia are not alien yet, but i revolve around grams of fiber in fear of the last hemmhorroid episode...
Susan- I was running this weekend with DH adn he asked if all his veins popped out of his legs too. I told him to please not talk about my vericose veins, and that maybe the preggo mom shoudl run behind him!
Wendy- glad to have you on facebook!
Precilla- Still cannot find you on there, would you please search me again with my maiden name in there (christine bergren orr).
Just ate my weight in pizza, off to shower and put family to sleep, and then some good zzzzz for me. I can never sleep around a full moon, so here is the the darn thing shrinking.

I now have Priscila as a FB friend so you could find her through my friends list. She's one tough cookie to find!

Just curious-What kind of pizza? Last night I had canadian bacon, onion and mushroom-Yummy!
