Rotation for Intensity Series???

I know it's a little soon, but has anyone read the descriptions and come up with a roation for the new Intensity series yet?
I'm doing 30 - 60 min of cardio (6 days a wk) and the S&H series 2 x wk each until I get them.....hopefully Christmas ;-)
I just bought a DVD player, and my husband hooked up some old speakers and and stuff, now I have a kick'in gym!!!! :-jumpy Boy, I wondered how I did without it using the speaker from my 1982 TV (which I'm still using - btw). Now, for the Intensity series, I can't wait.

Hi Faythe! Cathe didn't design these tapes to put into a rotation. I plan on doing the pyramid series and doing Imax2 and just switching it up every week just changing Imax2 w/Cardio & Weights, etc.; don't quite know yet this is my first thought. We'll really have to wait and view the tapes first. Also I'm weight training according to BodyRX which is VERY different than any of these tapes so I have to wait until I'm actually done with the third cycle which takes me into the middle of Jan. to try the pyramid series. Sorry I can't be of more help. Best, Kathy

Hi Kathy! You must be getting great results with the Body Rx program to hold off on the new tapes until the middle of January!!! Are you following the program to the "T" or have you modified it in some way?? I'm been thinking about following the program, I just love my cardio and I don't think that I could give it up! Any comments??
Thanks, Sara :)

I was thinking of trying Body Rx, and couldn't find the book anywhere until the other day at Borders books. They wanted over $25. for the book. I'm still concerned about a few things like the cardio issue and such. I know cardio is good for my heart and I feel great after it. Sorry, didn't mean to start up a whole thing on Body Rx, but it's funny that you mentioned it in the middle of my debate.

Faythe - I am sorry to change the subject in the middle of your question!! Please forgive me!! You might want to check out ebay for the Body RX book. I also found it at Amazon.com under the used book section. You might be able to save some money this way. :)

You are honestly doing S&H 2 x's a week and cardio 6 x's a week? Do you work out for 2 hours a day, 6 days a week? That is incredible Faythe. Where do you get your energy!?! Seriously, I think this is so impressive.

I just put a post on the Ask Cathe forum asking the same question!

I don't work out as much as you do, though.

Jillibean,
yeah, But I do heaver the first time and light the second time.
(Sun-Rest M&Th-Chest&Back T-Yoga&shd W&Sat-Tri&Bi F-legs&shd
and mix cardio up. Usually I do 30 min (I'd like to do 60 and sometimes I do). I always end with ab work unless I worked them hard with back, yoga and kickboxing. This gives me my energy for the day. If I miss a day (which I try not to) I feel terrible!!
I am not working now, so I can work out this long. Usually no more than 2 hours at the most. I am looking for a job, once I get one-depending on my hours, I may only have 1 hour a day, which I am not happy about.
*As far as the BodyRx book, I saw it on half.com for less, I may try to get it there.
Thanks for all the responses to this post. I guess it's kind of early for a rotation for this series. I prob. will just play around and find one that works for a while.

Hi Sara! Sorry for the delayed reply but just saw your post to me now. Yes I've been following BodyRX's way of weight training to a T. I've gotten much more muscular in my legs and my upper body is bigger and more cut than before. Been using mostly S&H tapes but lifting the BodyRX way. Went from 15#'s to 25#'s in only 10 wks. time. Much of the increase in muscle is due to the increase in protein too. Once you understand how to incorporate all the protein and fiber (which is introduced to you gradually) then it becomes so easy to increase these levels with each cycle that lasts for 6 weeks. I hope in another 2 weeks to look just as lean and cut as Cathe and her crew once I start Cycle 3. Try the program; its really wonderful. Best, Kathy

Kathy - That is so exciting!! Congrats on your huge gains!! Did you have trouble sticking with the program at first?? It seems like every time that I try high protein/low carb diets, I am so lethargic that I can't continue with the program. Is this one different? How were your energy levels?? Thanks for your help!! Sara :)

Hi Sara! Dr. Connelly gradually eases your body into more protein and fiber because you've never paid attention to it before. I find that even now into Cycle 2 taking in 137 grams of protein and 45g of fiber to be SO EASY its amazing; once you understand the nutrition and do it often enough; sometimes I even take in 165g of protein!! The weight lifting when you first start out is a complete joy; you really LOVE it. However, when you reach Cycle 2 you have to lift 4 sets of 8-10 reps for chest & back and then do 5 sets of 8-10 reps for bis, tris and shoulders. Its exhausting work but the payoff is immense. I've gained so much more muscle; there's definitely NO FAT on these arms anymore and I'm now lifting 25# suckers!! That's heavy! I also see much more muscle in my legs. Can't wait to go into Cycle 3 in another 2 weeks where you really cut the fat and up the weight training even more. Like I said if you want to look great do this program. You won't regret it! Best, Kathy

I'm thinking on doing a rotation for fat loss with some of the Intensity Series, like this:

Monday: Circuit Max
Tuesday: 1/2 hour cardio + 1/2 hour yoga or stretching
Wednesday: Cardio & Weights
Thursday: 1/2 hour cardio + 1/2 hour yoga or stretching
Friday: Boot Camp

Does it sound like too much?

Thank you so much Kathy!! I really appreciate you taking the time to post and explain all of that to me!! I think that I will give it a shot!!
Sara :)
