Roadtrippers Getting Ready

Hi Roadtrippers! So just how excited are you? OMG, I am so ready I cannot wait.}( :7

So what will everybody be doing to get ready? Starting a new rotation? New/different eating plans?

I think the first thing I need to do now is make my hotel reservation. I'm just so relieved to have been registered I almost forgot about this part!

Can't wait to meet everybody!!!!!:)

Well Hello D! You're up bright and early:7 Can't sleep 'cause your freakin out;-) Freakin' Out sounds like a winner to me!

I actually am not at that point yet. I know that when August 9 rolls around, my DH will probably want to slip me some Xanax and take away my coffee!!!;-)

Working on step choreography and perfecting straight leg push-ups, plus really working on lifting weights with good form, I suppose. :)

That week at work, I might as well take off, as I doubt I'd be able to concentrate on anything else other than anticipation for Friday!

Ok, I guess I'll have to cut back on the ice cream, pizza, wine, etc. I will have to learn to do one or more of the Imax dvds....I will have to get over my fear of complex choreography:eek: I can do Cathe's kickboxing dvds, as well as lowmax and drillmax, and pretty much lift about the same weights as in the muscle sculpting dvds. My foot-eye coordination needs work, though...Take care, Nancy~~~

Heavy sigh, time to cut back on the junk. I don't like kickboxing 'cause my form is terrible. I don't kick high and I don't look like I could hurt a flea! Time to upgrade the WO wardrobe. I WO at home so nobody sees me adn anything goes.

Hey, getting a spot on the Road Trip is better than winning the lottery! I am so excited! I still can hardly believe that I got in. I even figured out how many weeks I have to wait. We have 20 weeks to wait.

I want it to get here really quick, but on the other hand I don't want summer to end either. I am totally psyched up. I booked a room for two this morning. When the guy asked how many would be in the room, I said two, but then stated I just didn't know who the other person would be yet. Did that sound strange or what?

So, I am looking for a roommate!

Cheryl

I was on the last RT, and if your are worried about being your best, forget it. It wasn't like that at all. I don't remember doing anything that was similair to any of the Imaxs high impact stuff. I don't think Cathe wants people to feel as though this is a competition, therefore keeps her choreography to things that are very common to her workouts. Besides that, I thought she explained and showed the steps first. I think we practiced along and then began with music.

I don't believe there were any hand weights beyond 8lbs...the max 10lbs. We did use a bar, but it wasn't super loaded.

Relax:)

I agree. I need to cut out a few wine nights and search for some cute matching workout clothes!! And, yes, my full push-up form could use some work:-( :)

I am going to strictly follow ALL Cathe's Rotations and clean up my eating BIG time (this is while I am eating a donut :)).

Time to go shopping and actually get some matching outfits. Since I workout at home, I don't really care what I look like.

I guess first things first, I need to get rid of this DARN HEAD COLD!!!

Can't wait to meet everyone, this is SOOO Exciting!!!
Take Care - Hope everyone is having a Great Weekend!!

If I could give up my chocolate chip muffins on Sundays I would be doing great. Not this Sunday though munching on one right now!!! Need to get the straight leg push ups down and work on kickboxing. My form is wobbly to say the least!! Can't wait to meet everyone!!! Teresa

I'm really looking more foward to meeting all the fantastic roadtripping Catheites than the workouts themselves!

I guess I will make the supreme sacrifice of buying some decent workout outfits rather than wearing the ratty old T shirts I usually do to work out with;-)

Looking forward to meetin y'all!

Oh, good!!!! My biggest fear was the complexity. Now I know I can relax (somewhat!) and have fun. I just hope I don't step on anyone's feet or crash into someone:7

Hi RT'ers! You know, I've been thinking about what I am going to do to get ready and I don't think I'm going to change anything drastically. Knowing that I'm going on the RT is enough to keep me in line for the next 20 weeks so I'm just going to continue to stick to my rotations and maybe tweak my eating a little as it gets closer. That would mean no more sugar in my coffee and I just can't bring myself to do that yet!!!

I'm just so looking forward to meeting everyone and taking this trip is like rewarding myself for getting as far as I have.

I made my hotel reservation yesterday morning and it was so easy. Booked my flight as well, so I'm all set for now. Although I'm thinking of changing my return flight since I booked the 2:00 out of Philly. Anywho, it'll all work out.

Talk to everyone soon!

Melissa :)

I'm with Melissa on this one... I'm not really planning on making many changes at all to my workouts and eating. The RT isn't a competition, and it's not about who can lift the heaviest or who can do the most complex step routines. It's just about having fun! :) The RT will be a reward for all my hard work. I am totally psyched! :D

I also went on the last RT and it wasn't like Cathe wanted to kill us - I think we all wanted her to and expected her to, but it was more about being together and working out as a group and having fun. Just being there in her gym working out with her, was enough to get my adrenilin pumping!

With that said, I do need to brush up on her new series, just in case :p
