10 more days left!!!! I am so excited to finally meet you'all!! Took this weekend off from working out went to Pasadena Ca with my mom to visit my bro and his family. Did some shopping and went to the beach. It is so beautiful over there:) This morning I'm doing S&H Legs and Gym style legs floor work.

Good morning everyone. Hope y'all had a great weekend. I went to Cheesecake Factory with some of the girls from this board in Atlanta. See the pics on the OD page. We had a great time. We were originally supposed to go the park, but it was wet and rainy so we opted for food instead.

No workout for me yesterday. Tonight will ge gym styles BBS or legs.
I may do some cardio too.

Michelle - I would try cutting back on the eggs if you are using the egg beaters. I would do 1/2 a cup of egg beaters. As far as the fruit goes, I mashed them up on my own and then stirred them into the batter before cooking.
 
Good Morning!

I missed my daily check in yesterday. The day started with 9:00 mass and just never slowed down. I was out all day.

Tess: those pictures are great. It looks like you guys had alot of fun! I LOVE the Cheesecake factory. They have some yummy salads! Lucky ducks you Atlanta gals!

Yesterday I did manage to squeeze in SS LB blast and some abs. Today is KM, then hopefully a walk and later this afternoon I am taking a two hour jazz class. I haven't been taking many dance classes so far this summer, just two so far because I was busy studying, but now I can take a few for the remainder of the summer.

I'm running now, I have two clients coming for PT starting in 1/2 hour ( It starts bright and early around here!)

THought I might try to get in a bit earlier today. Today I did one of the timesaver workouts and then did about 20 minutes of running to give me a full hour.

Good Morning! 10 Days! I can feel the excitement in the air:)

Today's schedule calls for CF. I love this rotation i'm doing, but I am finding it lacks a little in the upper body, I wish I had noticed that before the 4th week.
Last night for dinner instead of a brownie for dessert I made one of those breakfast cookies, that was really good! I added blueberries and almonds to it..yummy:p

Tess- to bad the weather wansn't nice for you all, but it looks like you had fun anyway!:) We don't have a Cheesecake Factory here, but I have heard they have good food :p

Good Morning Ladies!

Today was HSTA upper body only and MIS upper body and abs and a 3 mile run. Tonight is yoga class.

Tess-I saw your pictures of the Atlanta ladies. Looked like a lot of fun! I wish the TX ladies could get together, but I think we are spread out all over the state!:p I'm going to try the pancake recipe this morning for DS and his visiting GF. Did you post a breakfast cookie recipe also that I missed?:9

***Question***
Do any of you wear contacts while working out? I have never worn them during a workout, but would like to be able to see.:D was wondering what to do for RT. Is is okay to do? Or will the sweat sting your eyes??

Hi Gin-
I wear contacts and have no problem with them when I work out. Infact I can't wear my glasses when I work out, I'll spend the whole time pushing them up from where they slide down my nose:7

Here is the breakfast cookie recipe, it is posted at the YaYa's:
1/3 cup oatmeal
1 tablespoon raisins
1 tablespoon flour
1/3 cup non-fat powdered milk
1/4 cup applesauce
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1 tablespoon Splenda granular



1. Preheat oven to 350.
2. Spray cookie sheet with baking spray.
3. Mix all ingredients together.
4. Spoon 1 large mound on the baking sheet.
5. Bake 15-20 minutes.

I omit the raisins and add blueberries and almonds.

Hey Gin: That running was figurative and only down to the basement to get ready for my clients! LOL! I think around here ShelleyC is the professional runner ... but walking... that's my specialty. :D
 
All of you women are just awesome! I can hardly wait to work out with all of you.

I am still worried about my flight. Northwest has been cancelling about 170 flights daily, since last Thursday. Oh why oh why did I book with NW? They claim they do not have enough pilots for there full flights. Does that make sense? They need to get there act together. I will never book with them again.

I will be doing Scrambled Eggs and B & G's tonight.

I hope to be putting all my clothes together before the end of the week. This RT will be just so much fun - I can hardly think about anything but that. Especially when I am doing Cathe's workouts, I tend to get totally pumped just thinking about how I will be there in just a few short days!

Vicki--Too funny that I thought you had started running with your workout client. :eek:

My RT fear is that someone will take a pic during or after one of our workouts and my hair (which tends to have a frizzy mind of it's own when I workout) will then appear on the Cathe site with my name under it!! SCARY!!:eek: x( :eek:

Gin~ I w/ you on the Hair issue. I have super thick Naturally Curly hair, forget about after the 1st workout, it's going to be horrible!!

I also wear contacts and never had a problems working out in them!!

Off to Jazz in a minute, but first:

Cheryl: can't wait to meet you either. Anyone who is raising 10 kids and works out and can still come on the RT is someone I want to meet!! I will be saying lots of prayers that all goes well with your flight. I flew with them once and had no problems, but that was two years ago. Hopefully they will have this all worked out by next week. Hang in there...

Gin and Jennifer: I also am in the very thick curly hair club! Mine is very long though so when I work out it stays in a pony tail. I am thinking that by the time classes are over Saturday even my ponytail will be looking pretty cruddy!! If you guys can, just put it up. I can tell you since I worked out with Cathe once already ( last year)there will be some serious sweating going on!!! ( Obviously!) Gin, if there are pictures of you after class with a little frizz, I would say it was the price you paid for being a fitness Goddess!
 
I am so jealous of all you gals with thick curly hair. My hair is baby fine, thin and straight as a stick. I spend a fortune in hair products to "volumize" LOL.
 
I only wish that my hair were long enough to pull back into a ponytail. When I come home from running on a humid morning, I look in the mirror and we are talking bird's nest on my head! Not a pretty sight. I'm just trying to warn you girls!:eek: :7 :eek:

My hair is long enough to put in a ponytail, but major DUMBO ears...It's stinks!! I guess I am going to have to deal with it though :)

Don't get me started with hair....when I'm working out my hair has to be up and away from my face and neck. Now to accomplish this it takes clips put in at every angle and rubber bands. My hair is also thick and wavy:-(
