Road Trippers 4/4!

Annabelle2

Cathlete
Morning all!!!

I love reading the little blurps!!!!

Workout for today
Muscle Endurance 59:54 minutes, 303 calories burned, HR 60% ave 85% max. I had not done this workout in a long time. I absolutely detest leg presses so I did step ups instead and they make my bottom kind of square so I careful with them....

Nutrition for Today low day 1
I have to begin over with my low day, I messed up yesterday.....
B - cottage cheese, strawberries, blueberries, almonds
S - celery and carrots
L - not sure another church - have been able to be good here so far
S - Smoothie and chicken breast
D - Chicken breast and lettuce, cucumber, tomato salad

My eating yesterday was terrible, I am sure it is because if the fasting for my blood tests and after I was starving....did really well until I got home. Then it was all over....

I did get poked 4 times before they got my vein and I am extremely needle phobic, I am sure I also ate for comfort.....

Blurp -- I love people, I am very laid back and even though I am very structured with my exercise and eating, everywhere else I am NOT - I love that old song from Coca Cola "I like to teach the world to sing in perfect harmony......" kind of my motto when someone tells me I need to be more assertive :)

Hi roadtrippers!
While I am (im)patiently waiting for my new DVD's to be delivered, I am going to do PLB this morning and then a coremax segment this afternoon when I get back from school.

I was doing so well with my eating yesterday, until last night. I had a terrible night at work at the dance studio (the manager is on vacation, an instructor's parent died, there were 9000 students trying to ask me questions at the same time, and the phone was ringing...you get my driftx( ) This led me to grab one of the pastries that were brought in by a nice student. I ate it:-( .
It was delicious:-( . Oh well today is another day.

Hmmmmm...something about me...
I have 7 tattoos. I was very rebellious in my late teens/early 20's. I still love them, except one which I am considering getting lasered off. If you saw me, you'd never expect me to have all those tattoos. It's a bit of a surprise for most people.

Have an awesome day everyone!!!

Somthing about me...
I'm 27 years old live in Kansas City MO love to workout to Cathe:), travel and shop. I work at Pete and Macs a recreational resort for pets at the front desk. My uncle's dad started these, there are only 6 of them in the U.S. I love animals. I have a chocolate lab named Bailey and two guinea pigs, Pookie and Dookie. I recently moved back in with my parents because my exboyfriend and I broke up and I'm trying to pay off some bills so I can get on my own again. I have two awesome brothers Robbie 22 who is in the AirForce and Ryan 32 who lives in Pasadena Ca. is a director for EHarmony.com.
MY mom is coming with me on the road trip but she is not part of the road trip. Hopfully she can watch me workout with Cathe, she is so excited for me! We are staying at the Fairfield Inn.
I cant wait to meet you all and make new friends I am so excited!
Have a great Day!
Randi

Good morning! Workout for today. PUB and BC Cardio and Legs. I find it is always more satisifying for me to mix several wo's together. I love variety.

I am attending the road trip and darn :7 about it! It's my first. Will not know anyone either. Hoping to get to know some of you here before meeting in person!

I am upping my water now that the weather is warming up. IT's tasting good again. Sometimes it's such a chore to chug 70 ounces/day.

Blurp- tend to be a follower. But when I'm told what to do I want to be a leader. Must be the woman in me?:p

Good bye for now! Will enjoy checking in with the RTer's.

Good morning Road trippers.

Kathy...When I had bloodwork done one time she poked the needle right THRU my vein!!! yeah, I enjoy needles....I am not much of a fan of leg presses either, sometimes I will sub reverse lunges as I like those alot.

Josie...how exciting you get new DVD's! I eat worse at night too, usually when I get home from work, my weakness is anything salty.

Randi...that is cool your Mom is coming on the RT! Have a good shoulder workout. Love your Guinea pigs names...:)

Amy...I like mixing workouts too!

Another thing about me...I love Pro football and I am tied to the TV every sunday during FB season!

I am doing BBC S&B, floorwork from BBC B&L and PS and a 3.5 mile run today..

Good Morning RTers!

I've been MIA recently, but just busy at home and gone all weekend. Today I'm tackling PUB :D A favorite of mine I haven't done recently. Anyone else have dreams about the Road Trip? I kept having dreams last night about missing important events, lol. I dreamt that I drove home instead of spending the night at the hotel and I missed a Saturday morning class. I also had visions of Cathe and Brenda doing some karaoke stuff. It was hilariously funny and Cathe was a pretty good singer!! Too much American Idol last night, I guess...

I hope you all have a great day!

Carol

No chance to post yesterday, but did get my workouts in. Yesterday morning was Stepblast and Stability Ball Abs. This morning was 30 min jog/walk followed by GS C&T's. I'm feeling it already.

I like the idea of telling something about ourselves. I rarely have time for personals too. So what a great way to learn something about everyone.

I grew up most of my life in California (Vacaville) (lived 5 years in MN when I was little). Got married in 83 and moved to Texas. Have lived in the Fort Worth area ever since. I am an athlete want to be. I love trying new things, but am not usually very good at them. I have totally amazed myself by learning how to do step. Just a few years ago I would never have dreamed I would be able to do all those turns and stay on beat.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Jean

Just finished a long hard workout S&H shoulders ,gymstyle shoulders, S&H legs and gymstyle legs floorwork, I'm beat!
Have a great day everyone
Off to work
Randi

Have a great day everybody! Hallo to everone who follows today!
Belinda

Jean - are you saying there is hope for someone like me who is totally uncoordinated at step? :)

Last night's workout was Mix it Up. The scale was friendly this morning too. I'm determined to lose 10 lbs before the RT. I have already lost 6 since November without really being very strict on my eating. I just ordered the Tosca Reno book and the Bill Philips Eating for Life one. I am ready to make a permanent change in my eating. I've been taking baby steps but haven't been totally committed. Something that is really helping me is a program my company offers where you have weekly phone calls with a Fitness & Nutrition coach. She has gotten me to make small changes weekly and it's been so beneficial to have someone to be accountable to. Next week I will talk to a nutritionist through the program and hopefully I'll get a sample eating plan. I have the exercise down but it's always been the eating that is so tough. So that's my blurb about me today. :)

No workout for me the last couple of days. I have been a bit sick and very busy at work so have just been "over it" when I get home. Hoping to do C&W tonight.

I live in San Diego now, but grew up in Washington State. I am always cold too and people always think I have some disorder. I do not. I just feel the cold and really hate it! I live with my DH, my Springer Spaniel Jeremiah and two house rabbits, Dorothy and Erwin. Right now my sister and her two huskies are living with as well due to a divorce.

Have a great day everyone.

Good morning everyone! Checking in early as I am working from home today. I figured since I'm pretty much booked on conference calls from 9am until 7pm, it makes no sense getting all gussied up and going to the office. I'm supposed to have a 45 minute run and then 1 segment of Stretch Max today, but the weather doesn't look very promising for that run. So if it rains, I'll just sub one of Cathe's older/easier step workouts like Step Jam or Step Heat. Unless my Rebounder arrives today, which it just might according to FedEx's tracking page.

Blurp - I enjoy gardening. Haven't had time for it for a couple of years now, but I typically have tomatoes, several varieties of peppers, green beans, and radishes growing in the spring and summer.

Have a great day everyone! :)

Goodmorning Roadtrippers. Yesterday and today are my "rest" days. I hate not getting a workout in every day, but I've been working a second job to pay off some bills and these 14 hour days are killer!

Kathy - anytime I end up really hungry like that, my eating goes completely haywire! I have NO willpower at that point! :) I'm sure your menu today will more than make-up for any post blood work food indiscretions! :)

Josie - I love waiting for new DVD's to be delivered! I'm like a kid at Christmastime waiting to open the presents! Which ones did you order?

Randi - Wow, sounds like you had quite the workout this morning! That is cool that your mom is going to get to come and watch you! I'm a big animal person so your job sounds great!

Amy - I have made it a goal to start drinking more water too. Unfortunately, as my intake increases, so does the outtake!

Carole - I am in awe of all of you runners! I can run my wiener dog up and down our yard once and am panting as hard as the dog that has 2" legs! You know you aren't a runner when a wiener can outlap you! Enjoy your 3.5 miles run! :)

Carol - Hilarious dreams! I have had ones where I kept trying to leave for the trip, but I could never get out of the house. I keep forgetting things are getting sidetracked. The whole time I'm freaking out that I am going to miss it! This dream will probably not be too far from reality!

Tess - Eating is the hardest part for me too. I have both of Bill Phillips books "Body for Life" and "Eating for Life". Eating for Life is great because it gives you a lot of meal options and sample meal plans and recipes. I have been cleaning up my diet a lot lately and hope to get better at it. I usually blow it at least once a day though. :p

ivorygorgon - Where at in Washington State did you grow up? My hubby is from Spokane and we spend every summer out there with his family. It's a gorgeous state.

Mona - Hope your rebounder comes today! I have a friend at work who just got one and she loves it. :)

Since we're all adding a personal tid bit to the end. I am the youngest of four girls. My poor dad lived in a house full of women. He was in the Airforce and my family moved all over the place until I was 5 and we settled down in MD and dad got a job at Fort Mead. I lived in Pasadena, MD, with my hubby before moving up to PA several years ago. We have three dogs - Dakota, Cheyenne, & Montana but no kids yet!

Good morning roadtrippers! Off to an early and busy start today I see!!

Liann- Two jobs:eek: I'm amazed you have time for anything! I grew up as a service brat myself but didn't "settle down" until about 6 years ago (Im 50 now!)

Bekki- Sorry you've been sick:( Feel better soon!

Belinda- Sounds like you're well in to the April rotation! How nice that you and your DD are sharing this road trip together!!

Tess- Congrats on your recent weight loss. Sounds like you have a good plan of action with your diet.

Jean- Grew up in Vacaville? That's a beatiful area. I lived in Vallejo briefly. Going to Texas must have been a bit of a culture shock for you! I've lived there too.... Obviously I've moved around alot!

Swifty- (amy) I love your nickname! I like mixing up different workouts too, makes it much more interesting!

Randi- Sounds like you have an interesting job, working at a pet resort. How do you like it?

Josie the tatooed lady :p Okay, you've done it now!! We're all gonna want to see the tatties now... especially the one you want lasered off;-)

Robin- My opera singing is in the DISTANT past now. Believe me you do NOT want to hear me sing now

Vickie- Welcome to the RT check in! Congratulations on your remarkable weight loss and lifestyle change. What an inspiration you are! Really look forward to meetin ya!

Brooke- Welcome!!! Tell us a little about yourself:)

Kathy- You're very structured with your eating and exercising?
Gee, really? ;-) Just teasing you! I wish I had just a little of your discipline!!

Okay, time to get busy. Today will be HCE#1 and a 40 minute iClimb on the elliptical. Hi to all who follow!

ShellyC

Hi ladies! Today is GS Chest & Tri's and the BONUS CARDIO from the April rotation. I have to admit my calves are still sore from GS Legs Monday!!
Just a quick check-in as my 2 year old daughter is hanging on my leg.
Blurp -- am a baseball fanatic. My dad had 2 girls and no son to share his love of sports with so he shared it with us. I'm so happy baseball season has started. Was a Dodgers fan growing up in LA -- even got to go to one World Series game when they played the Yanks in 1982 (I think that was the year). Now we're Texas Rangers fans -- going to Opening Day here on Friday -- I even keep score at the games! Am now happy to pass my love of baseball on to my 7-year-old twin sons.
Have a great day!
Colleen

Good afternoon!!!I love reading all the blurbs. My blurb for the day is that I have three kids, ages 5, 6, and 7 (two boys, one girl). I live in the same town where I grew up, near Rochester, NY. Growing up, my parents were into music. My dad usually was in a band and they used to rehearse in our basement. When I was little I made a paper guitar so I could go "sing" Dust in the Wind with his band.

Today I did Push and Pull Lower body 3 sets premix and the floorwork from B&G. I also taught my PIYO class today. I did well yesterday with the eating clean, so I got to put a sticker on the calendar. I am still trying to decide what my "prize" will be at the end of the month. I was thinking a pedicure (since I have never had one), but I am not sure. Any suggestions?

Have a great day.

Beth:)

Tess, yes there's still hope. I started with the Firm and had a hard time with the 2 part step. I was afraid I would twist an ankle or something. Finally I just put a towel on the ground to act as a pretend step and learned the moves without killing myself. Now that I've progressed to Cathe, I just hit rewind several times til I learn the move.

ShelleyC, we used to go to Vallejo each year for the county fair. I grew up in the country and was involved in 4H and showed animals at the fair. I guess that also helped prevent culture shock. Fort worth's surrounding area is very similar to Vacaville/Dixon area.

Good Afternoon RTers!

I slept later today and didn't work out, but now I feel better and am planning on running and maybe doing CF or RS. I would like to run the Komen 5K this Sat, but am just starting again after an injury and want to make sure I can do it.

I have probably already said this, but I know it's tough for all to remember the details. I am 47, married, 2 grown sons, and have taught 4 and 5 year olds for the past 15 years. I think after that length of time, I can honestly think like a 4 -5 year old!!!

Tess--We need to be next to each other on the RT. I mess up alot on the step. My workout room is too small to do many of the turns and going around the board, so I don't. Years ago I walked out of a step class in the middle I was soooo lost!

Colleen--Maybe I will see you at one of the Ranger games. We live close by. Enjoy Opening Day!

Beth--Go for the pedicure as your "prize". I treat myself to one every month!!

Hi Roadtrippers ~ :)

I think today calls for a rest day, it's just one of them days. Seems like everything has gone wrong all day!!!

My eating was horrible today -
B- Doughnut, coffee & hard boiled egg (got one thing right :))
S- EAS Lo-carb bar
L- Bologna sandwich on w/w, pretzels & Dove Dark chocolate bar (their I go again) :)
D- ??
I will call this my cheat meal for the week.
Has anyone ever followed Atkins or BodyforLife? What is your take on these, which one did you like?

I like Body For Life b/c it calls for a cheat meal during the week, which Atkins does not. I feel I need the cheat meal to keep me in line or I would go really mess up most of the time!

Last night was S&H Chest & Back & PowerStrike
Tonight calls for Leaner Legs & I normally throw in Bar Method F/F.
I guess I will see how the rest of the day goes, right now I just want to go home and crawl into bed...:(

Take Care - Hope everyone is having a nice day!!!

Good Afternoon Ladies,

Today is my long awaited rest day. I might do XStretch if I'm sore this evening.

Last night dh gave me a nice deep pressure leg massage. It really helped remove some of the DOMS. I'm going to check out pricing for a weekly massage as I don't know how often dh will be up to giving me one since he's doing P90X with me.

Have a great day!
