Morning!

Hi to everybody and hope you have a great day!!!

Workout - Yesterday and Today
Yoga Shakti- last night, love this DVD - I think it is my total fave for Yoga
Maybe a run tonight - will try again but most likely my runs will be Friday, Saturday and Sunday

Nutrition for Today
B - cottage cheese, strawberries, blueberries, splenda, almonds
S - apple, slice turkey bacon
L - tuna, salad greens, tomatoes, cucumber, slice rye bread, apple, almonds
S - celery, chicken breast
D - 96/4 hamburger on 1/2 ww bun, lettuce, tomato, grapes

I am having a litle trouble getting my runs in this week...I might be repeating myself but I have the care of my grandson he is beautiful and he is 2. He is cutting a molar and is very restless at night/morning. DH is out of town putting on a school for his company and has been gone all week so I have no help - my workout schedule is at the mercy of a two year old!!! But DH will be home late tonight!!!

Hope your day is excellent!!!

Good morning roadtrippers!!!

Kathy- Boy, I can set my clock by you! I wish I was half as organized!- Hope you can get in your run!

OKAY ROADTRIPPERS-- QUESTION OF THE DAY :7 :7

What is the RT workout your are most looking forward to?
A- Step Aerobics
B- Kickbox
C- BootCamp
D- High Step Sculpt
E- I just endure the workouts, my favorite part is the stretching!
F- Workouts??? I'm just going for the fitness feast :7

My choice is bootcamp because, as the cheetahs will tell you, I just love booty kickin workouts :7 :7

Today will be BBC abs and arms and later an hour on the elliptical

Later,

ShellyC

My answer....C and B are equal for me. Kickbox and Boot Camp tied! LOL

Kathy-yeah, sometimes the kids dictate when and how we workout. At least he's cute, right? LOL

Hi, Shelly! See you at the Cheetah Check In!

Gin-I train mostly on the TM, since it’s just me and my boys. It’s SO much easier to find the time in the wee hours of the early morning than in the middle or end of the day with 2 boys around. Thanks to lots of folks on these boards, I’ve gotten GREAT advice on how to work my training on the TM so that I can turn around and really perform well on the roads during races. At first, I ran a steady 10 min mile. Nice and slow. Felt great. But I found that the stronger and more confident I got, the better and faster I became. It all came in the training and the confidence. I’m still not FAST, just fastER. Endurance, for sure, is my thing too!

Sorry to babble……you asked! LOL

Josie-I checked out your myspace and it’s cool. The wedding pic is FABULOUS!!!!

OK...quickie post. This morning's workout was an 8 mile hill repeat run. On the treadmill, as usual. I worked up my own repeat workout and it was awesome. DRIPPING with sweat thru all my layers of clothes. That's a good sign, right? lol

Have an awesome day!

Gayle

Good morning everyone!

Just a quick "hi" before I drive my daughter to pre-school!
Then a workout, then working somewhat late.(7 or 8pm.)

Kathy: I am in awe of your eating! I wish I was as disciplined!

Shelly: Probably both kickboxing and bootcamp!! Any I can do without tripping!!!

I'll check in later tonight!!! Have a great day, Nancy~~~

Good Morning RTers!

ShellyC--Also for me...anything I can do without tripping! I really don't have a preference. Just can't wait to meet everyone!

Gayle--I really admire your discpline for running on a TM. AND any pace around 8 minutes is fast in my book!! I'm doing well to run a 10 min. pace.

Today was GS Legs and my hamstrings were screaming at me. I will be sore tomorrow.

Have a great day!

Goodmorning Trippers. The sun is shining and I have the day off. Life is good. No workouts planned today - it's my rest day. Thank goodness, because I have a chore list a mile long. I'm getting new carpet in a bedroom today. It's been a 3 week long mess with painting and moving stuff out to make room for the carpet. I can't wait to have it all done. I'm hoping to get to a blood mobile this afternoon. I try to donate regularly, but sometimes my hemoglobin is a tad low and I get rejected. It takes a good 2 weeks after donating to get my fitness level back up to pre-donation level.

ShellyC, thanks for your kind words yesterday. I'm always thrilled when someone has heard of PWS. It's such a bizarre syndrome.

Gayle, I didn't realize you were a PA girl! I ws looking at your picture trail and thought Hickory Run State Park was in PA, so I check your profile. I have a very good friend living in Bethlehem.

I'm looking forward to the Step workout most. Step is my first and forever love.

OK, I need to get going. Have a wonderful day all.

Good morning everyone!

Today is a rest day so I got to sleep in and it felt great. I'm not AS sore from MIS as I thought I would be.

Kathy-Your diet sounds a lot like what I try to do, but it hardly ever comes out as planned!

Shelly-I think I will have to say step aerobics is my favorite. The choreography(sp?) usually keeps my mind off of how hard I'm working.

Gayle-That sounds like a great workout! I hope to take up running again someday (knee issues).

Off to work now. Hope everybody has a good one:D

Kara

Hey, Robin. You're friend is in Bethlehem....are you close by too? It's a very small world at times! LOL

Road Trip Check-in

Good morning, Road Trippers. Well, it is morning anyway. I am finally realizing that I am just not cut out for recovery weeks. This is my third or fourth attempt at one, and I am battling the blues again. :-( I am having Cathe withdrawals! I am such an intense cardio junkie! I have not been sleeping well this week. After eating clean for 12 weeks, I went out with a friend last night and enjoyed my first restaurant meal of 2007. It was yummy. I ate a small bowl of cheesy potato soup and a corn bread muffin from Cotton Patch with a glass of sweet tea. :9 The portion size was not over the top, but I still woke up with a food hangover this morning. Ugh! Sodium is not my friend. I am sure the scale is not my friend either this morning.

I have not been totally sedentary this week. I have been doing TLTs and old FIRM workouts. I did Better Burn Better Buns Sunday, the Hare Monday, and Cardio Burn Tuesday. I was planning to do Maximum Cardio yesterday, but I woke up at 2:00 a.m. and took a nap during my workout time. After dinner with my friend last night, I was too tired to move. I did Jen Carman’s segments of Better Body and Buns this morning and fast forwarded through the rest. I am enjoying these workouts for a refreshing change of pace, but I am missing the Cathe endorphin high!

I booked my flights for the Road Trip yesterday. I will be flying first class on miles, so I am excited. :7

Shelly, I am most looking forward to the step workout. :7 I love choreography! I especially adore mambos, cha chas, pivots, and turns. :) I am also looking forward to hearing the sound of all those feet stepping in unison. :7 I love Cathe’s kickboxing too, and Boot Camp and Drill Max are so much fun. My favorite high step workout is definitely High Step Challenge. I am not wild about High Step Training. ;-)

Blessings,
Heather B.

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us” (Hebrews 12:1 NIV).

Good morning!
Well, I've had a slow start to this morning. i had an 8:00 class, but when the alarm went off at 6:30, I just couldn't bring myself to get up! I slept until 8...oh well, I never miss class, one time won't kill me.
Today I'm slated to do one of my favorites, rythmic step...so much fun! I'll tack on a coremax segment too.
I'm most looking forward to the step and bootcamp classes, as I look like a wounded flamingo doing kickboxing (skinny limbs flailing sbout in a vain attempt to look tough)!!!
Tess ATL...thanks! My kitties are my babies...love them!!!
Kara...I am by no means a wonderfl tennis player, but it's so much fun, and great exercise! I haven't gotten out yet this season, maybe this weekend!
Gayle...Thanks! I think the pink sungalsses really complimented my wedding dress :)
Have a great day everyone!

Hi Roadtrippers

Kathy...good menu. That can play havoc with your workout schedule taking care of your grandson...I think you are doing great..:)

Shelly...I think I am looking forward to A the most. Like Robin step has always been my first favorite after running of course..:)..enjoy your workout.

Gayle....awesome run today...

Robin...enjoy the sun and a wonderful rest day...I bet getting the new carpet will be quite nice.

Kara...enjoy your rest day also.

Heather....thanks for reminding me to book my flight, although it won't be first class...:)

Josie...I did RS a few weeks ago after a long time. I really liked it. I am just hoping when we do kickbox I don't punch myself in the face...

I am doing B&G standing, BBC Chest & Abs and 40 min on my Elliptical...

Good morning Road Trippers!

This morning was a 50 minute treadmill run.

To answer the question of the day, I think I'm most excited about the Bootcamp workout. :D But gosh, I know I'll love them all.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Hi everyone.

Today was up early, but couldn't decide on what leg workout to do. Finally decided on S&H legs only and added the floor portion from GS Legs. It made a nice and solid 1 hour leg work out. Some of those floor exercises are killers (like the one legged rollout).

AOTD: My favorite is Step. I feel like I accomplished something when I learn new moves. I like Bootcamp, next because it has such a variety. I'm not very familiar with High step, because I don't have any of those DVD and Kickboxing makes me feel uncomfortable because I too uncoordinated to keep the right beat when the legs and arms are doing different things, like when Cathe says, OK, double time the arms. I'm afraid I'm going to pull something if I happen to do the move wrong.

Good morning...

Well yesterday turned out to be a work disaster. Had to go into an all day meeting and then go to bookclub which means I missed my work out. UGG. This is why I should always exercise early in the morning to get it in. My bookclub dinner was pasta/meatballs and chocolate cake. Luckily there was a salad but I had start talking about coming to this RT to stop pressure to have, "more pasta and just a small slice of cake." Lord save me from food pushers :).

Anyway, today its Lomax and Yoga and I PROMISE to sneak in something extra to make up for yesterday!!

I am looking forward to step and bookcamp. My secret shame is that left to my own devices I wouldn't ever lift weights..I know...I know.. I'm working on it.

My 9am cancelled so I do actually have time to do personal shout outs

Kathy--you are a fantastic grandma to be caring for your grandson and he's lucky to have one who can run him down

Shelly-- good luck with your workouts today

Gayle-- 8 miles? Man, I can barely do the ifit 5k treadmill

Robin-- A day off. GREAT. ENJOY.

Heather-- Good thing about resting is that it makes everything new an exciting when you return to regular workouts. I am little scared of you if you think those vides are "resting."

Josie-- The same thing happened to me this morning just couldn't convince myself to get up!!

Is that everyone. Goodneess that's hard.

Oh yeah nutrition

B 1/2 cup ff cottage cheese w/apple, dried cranberries and nuts
S kashi heart to heart
L Lean Cusine, low fat cupcake (yes really exists)
S mini bag popcorn
D (hubby out so my favorite) Boca burger, baked french fries, salad

Thanks for inspiring me today

Hi ladies!

Shelly - I vote B & C equally. I am most looking forward to both bootcamp and kickboxing and LEAST looking forward to step. I am debating skipping the step class. I get sweaty palms just thinking about it. I taped Step Blast from FitTV and previewed it last night to see how bad it really was. Let me tell you ladies, the warmup had my head spinning. GAH I don't know how you all do it. I've never tried her high step tapes but I'm looking forward to it.

Last night was 40 minutes spinning and the first premix of coremax. Hope everyone has a wonderful day. :)

Morning :)

Today is 45 min of light cardio, and shoulders.

Shelly- What workout I'm looking forward to is A and D.
I won't subject anyone to my attempts
at kickboxing...it's not a pretty sight.:p

Have a great day everyone!

Michelle:)

Hi Everyone!

Today is Day 1 of P90X. There's no bring it on face here right now!
I have to pump myself up before I begin. I feel like I'm jumping into something without looking.

I didn't have time to work out last night. By the time we bought weights, a Polar F-6 heartrate monitor (pink!) and installed the chin-up bar, it was late. Dh and I started the Fit Test last night around 11:00. I'm surprised we passed at that hour! ...except that I didn't do any chin-ups. (sigh) Oh Well. There will be time later today for me to motivate my lazy self. I've gotta get some coffee and get the girls to art lessons right now.

Oh, I'm looking forward to A and hearing all feet stepping in candence during the step class.

Have a great day!

Good mid-morning everyone! After 2 days of 14 hour work schedules, I can finally get some exercising in tonight! I have Leaner Legs and Core Max on the schedule. As far as nutrition, this is what I have today:

B - Romaine/Endive Salad with 1 hard boiled egg, a few shreds of low fat Cheddar, red cabbage, & tomatoes (I know, not typical breakfast food, but I couldn't help myself)
S - Yogurt
L - Tuna, wheat crackers, cottage cheese
S - Grapefruit
D - Salmon, brown rice, & a veggie (haven't decided on that yet)

I will admit that I screwed up big time on dinner last night. I was working at the restaurant and someone bought me a ribs/fries appetizer and brought it to me at the desk. It didn't last long.... I was doing so good too!!!

As far as what workout I am looking forward to the most - definitely the step. I love step! The High Step will definitely be second.
