Road Trippers 3/27

Workout:
Today I did the standing leg work for Gym Style: Legs. I was going to do the floor work also but today was such a nice day out I ended up taking the dogs for a walk instead.

Nutrtion:
Meal 1: Fruit Smoothie
Meal 2: 2 Grapefruits
Meal 3: Spinach Dip and Flax Crackers
Meal 4: Larabar
Meal 5: Protein Shake
Meal 6: Spinach Salad

Kathy: I have not done Cardio and Weights for a long time either. However the ab section is my favirote ab workout.

Randi: I know they are letting spouses use the gym for the day so I do not see why letting your Mom in would be a problem.

Gayle: I thought the speaker idea was a neat idea also. I usually run about three times a week. Enjoy your time outside. The weather is really nice.

Jean: I am not a big fan of kickboxing either. I prefer step workouts.

Heather: Wow no chocolate for 40 days.

Shelly: Congrats on running a 10k. I enjoy running but I am still trying to get the nerve up to actually do a race of some sort. How do you like being an RN? I am going into the medical feild (RT) and I am always curious to hear other people's opinions on it.

Cheryl: Wow an Ironman. That is an great accomplishment. That most have took a lot of hours of training and hard work.

Jennifer: I can not do any straight leg push ups yet either:-(

Ivorygorgon: You will love the gym styles. I know what you mean about the whole 5k thing. I feel the same way.

To everyone else......Have a nice day and enjoy the nice weather:)

Hi 2007 Roadtrippers!

I didn’t get around to Cardio & Weights last night. My menstrual cycle got the better of me. Hopefully, the cramping and low energy will go away tonight for another try at C&W and Fluidity. My appetite isn’t all there either. I had a luncheon this afternoon for all the Bible Club leaders. I managed to eat a little of EVERYTHING }( : sasauge wieners, turkey w/ cheese & tomato wheat wraps, homemade guacamole with pita chips, molasses scones with whipped topping, strawberries, pineapples, spinach quiche, and cream cheese stuffed brownie tarts topped with raspberries. I think that about covers it. I did pass on some of the other fruit and veggies. LOL There wasn’t enough room on my plate and I HAD to help my dd finish off her molasses scone with a generous heap of whipped topping (skimmed fresh from the top of raw milk). I would if I could fast for the rest of the day. Unfortunately, I was the one who made the fattening guacamole dip and cream filled brownies. And, I always make more than needed.

Hi Melissa, Jean, Kara, Michelle, Carole, Kim, Nancy,

Colleen: Congratulations on quitting smoking!! I’m also a mother of twins. I have identical twin girls and 4 older children.

Kathy: Today’s menu looks so healthy and good! I have to get a heartrate monitor soon. Which one do you use?

Randidiane: Did you read the spouse post on the RT forum by Cathe? You’ll have to email SNM and ask if your mother can watch. If not, there’s plenty of shopping in area. My dh shared an apartment with a friend in the Deptford area when we first met. I always got lost and would end up at the mall! Must be instinctual.

Gayle: I’m so glad your friend is able to go. Thanks for the Word tip. It’s much easier than writing things down first.

Heather B.: 40 days with chocolate, cheese and prozac LOL That is amazing! I’m not a huge chocolate eater, but there are days when it’s my drug of choice!

Shelly C: You definitely deserve a rest day!! It’s not August yet. Jennifer is going to have to drag me there kicking and screaming if it’s already August. I still need time to get myself ready for the RT.

Beth: ~~~Sending you eating clean vibes your way~~~

Gin: I have yet to complete the entire LowMax dvd! Does it make me a bad Catheite? Sunday evening I couldn’t get past the 3rd cardio. My body gets so drained right before my cycle.

Robin: I’m with you. These ladies are FIT.

Josie: Congrats on doing LowMax all the way!!! I don’t mind a stinky receptionist if I can don’t have sit in the waiting room for longer than a minute. ;-)

Tess ATL: Don’t look at my diet for the day or yesterdays, or any day for that matter if you want a healthy plan! ;-)

ETA: OOPS! HeatherB. I meant 40 days withOUT chocolate, cheese or prozac. I'm not implying that you take prozac. Only that I would probably need it if I went that long with chocolate or cheese.
:)

ETAagain: I meant if I went that long withOUT ... Ugh, I need a nap!

Cheryl: I feel like I’m over 40. Does that count? If it does, I’d say you’re the younest one here! I’m working towards feeling like I’m 30 again. Oh, I see that you’re an interior designer. Just a warning… I may be begging for suggestions soon. We gutted our kitchen and are starting from scratch. Oh, yeah we’re doing this by ourselves. Yes, we’re ambitious and crazy! ;-)

Jennifer: Way to go at WaWa! I told you they sold other things besides doughnuts. And, I’m not talking about the Take Five candy bars. ;-) Glad you’re liking the Bar Method!

Bekki: Having never ran or desired to run a 5k, I would imagine that the mass of people would be motivational. Same with stepping with 104 other ladies. I imagine, the energy will rub off on me. I love KPC, it’s one of my favorites!

Nancy J: I like how you phrase “Cathe Appreciation Week”. I think I’ll steal that when I start P90X. I’ll call it my Cathe Appreciation Rotation. Hey, look it rhymes! LOL Oh! No, I have no idea what you’re talking about. My girls never pull their hair out or get stains all over their white sweaters or halos while eating chocolate pudding. Yeah, in my dreams!!!

Tina: Oooo honey, are you sure you want to do your scheduled workout first? I’ll say a prayer for you. I’m laughing because I’m serious. I’d love to be able to do IMAX 3, 200 walking lunges and 200 situps, and still have energy for a Beth Moore Bible Study! I’m in awe of you!

Lorrie: Do you have helpers when your coaching that many girls? How fun though! The pom-pom girls and little league teams are so cute at the parades.

Mona: Is Leaner Legs like Legs & Glutes? I’m wondering if I should get it or not.

Tracy T.: Jennifer told me the same thing about P90X. I figure spending time working out with my husband will add in a little fun factor. If not, I can always go back to Cathe.

Lara: Glad to see you checked in yesterday. I look forward to reading your checkin later today.

Hi JC and jjhappymom! Welcome to the RT checkin!

Cheryl, I can only imagine the changes that took place in your life after your son’s car accident. I always say that I’ll continue homeschooling if the Lord wills. As you already know, you never know. I can’t wait to meet you too! BTW, I hope I look like you when I’m 51!

Hi RTers!

Wow, there are a lot of us here! I have some research to do for school this evenings so no time for personals - but I did want to tell Phyllis that I'm in New Castle, DE - right over the bridge from Jersey. (Since I remember you asked or commented on where I live in yesterday's post!)

I am checking in with good eating so far today (20 points thus far - I'm counting WW points these days)- today's menu has been:

B: 2/3 c. vanilla fiber cereal, 2/3 c. frosted fiber cereal (both TJ's), 1/2 c. vanilla soy milk, 1 med. banana
S: Fat free lemon yogurt
L: salad (lettuce and mushrooms) w/ ff italian and tuna, grapes and strawberries, 100 cal pack
D: salad again, 4 ounces chicken, veggies, 1/2 c. applesauce, 1/2 c. cottage cheese w/ 2/3 c. fiber cereal

Exercise was Cathe Body Max 2 - approx. 63ish minutes (warm up through the end of the 3rd power circuit plus the stretch).

Hoping to do upper body weights and abs tomorrow for a lighter day and then some more cardio or legs by Thursday.

have a GREAT evening!!!

Tracy

Hey all!

Tracy - we're neighbors!;-) I work in NewCastle - just off RT9 on Cherry Lane for a private laboratory. Maybe we can drive to the RT together. Are you staying in the hotel or driving every day. I'm staying at the Fairfield, and I was thinking of going over early on Fri.

Today was LIC total body premix. Not a bad workout although I have a terrible time with the bicep curls using both the bar and band. Maybe I don't give myself enough slack with the band. I really don't know why it's so hard. I also did MM abs.

What's everyone doing for April? Any special rotations happening?

I only skimmed the previous posts - it's a little overwhelming.:)

Phyllis-

(waves to neighbor!) I work in Wilmington (trolley square area) and live off of either Route 9/Route 13 (Llangollen Estates/Green area) depending on which way you come into the neighborhood. I am planning on staying at the Fairfield - driving up with Carol (who's in Elkton, MD). I figured it would be easier to stay in the hotel rather than driving back and forth - not to mention the convenience of showers between classes! Perhaps the three of us could drive up together- the more the merrier! :)

Talk to you soon,

Tracy

Hello all.

Gosh, I always post so late!!! I hope everyone peeks back occasionally to the day before:) It looks like there were several good workouts today. I did HC Extreme (the second one, which is my favorite of the Xtreme's) plus KM drills and legs followed by B&G Bonus Abs. I was starving after all of that and ate a large salad with lots of veggies and half of a vegetable burrito from our local co-op (did I mention I am a vegetarian). Yum, it was so good. I didn't really cheat today unless you count the wine I had with dinner.

Tina...LOL about the squirrels. That combined with all the dogs that pass our house (we live next to a park) keeps Sophie extremely occupied!

Colleen...I love yoga, but I haven't done it as much lately. I bet that is a great workout!

Emily..welcome to the thread! I have read a lot of your posts on other parts of the forum.

Wendy...I can definitely relate to gutting the kitchen. We started our project about 2 months ago and we still don't have a floor color of paint picked out. At least I finally have running water and a dishwasher back...eating on paper and plastic got old quickly!

I hope everyone else has a wonderful evening. I will see you tomorrow!
