Thank you

Randi

Good morning Kathy & Randi. And all that come later!

I am checking in earlier than usual today. Have some systems training at work today that will take up a majority of my day. Ugh!

GS BSB on my rotation for tonight and a segment of Core Max.

Have a great day everyone. Talk to you soon!:)

Melissa

Good morning everybody! Great workouts so far today!

Randi-I'm sure mom will be able to watch you. Did you go in '05? The large aerobics room, where we'll be, is lined with glass walls, so she can look in for the whole thing!

Hi, everybody! I had the time to sit and do personals to MOST people. I really LOVE the idea of this Road Trip Check In! Somebody mentioned it’s 20 weeks. I like that better than 4.5 months too (as somebody ELSE said, lol). I won’t always have the time to do personals to everybody, but I do read everything!!!! I promise! This RT sounds like it’s going to be so much fun! In addition to meeting everybody (which is the BEST part), I like the idea of the speakers this time around. That didn’t happen in ’05. I’m really interested in seeing what’s on the agenda!!!!

Lorrie-What an incredible sweet thing for you to say! Thank you SO much! That means a lot. It’s funny, how looking back, 3 years just seems so far away yet so close! Thanks again! I can’t wait to see you once again!

Cheryl-Your plan and rotation sound AWESOME! Definitely include that recovery week in there! I’m so looking forward to mine, which is coming in another 1 ½ - 2 weeks! SO……..tell me more about your marathon and tri experiences. I still consider myself a beginner runner, but I’m slowly moving up in skill and speed!!! I’m always looking for advice!

Colleen-WOW! Great job on quitting smoking. After 20 years? WOW! CONGRATS! That is an awesome present to yourself!!!!

Robin-I’m in awe of your YOU story…..your children, your grandson, etc. Amazing some of the “stories” our lives weave for us, hugh???

Cheryl-Another inspiring Cathe fan. Listen to YOUR resume! I hope you take time, even just a few short minutes, to take care of you! Then again, you work out to Cathe…THAT IS taking care of you!

Nancy J-ohhhh…..I get the nighttime nibbles too! My brain starts kicking into high gear right before the boys’ bedtime. I have to re-train myself each and every night to leave the pantry door CLOSED! Happy BDay to you and DD!!!!!!!!

Beth-technically, if you hit your BACK button on your website’s brower, you can go back. But BE CAREFUL because it’s been known to happen that if you typed anything in a response box and then hit back, then forward again, your post disappears. I like to open the posts from you ladies, and also have a screen opened for my word processing program. This way, I can toggle between the posts and the WP’er so I can type my response without losing it!

Tracy T-I hope you enjoyed your rest day! It’s such a necessity, yet SO hard to do! LOL. Enjoy the warm weather. We’re getting 70 temps today too, in PA! And thank you, too, for your kind words. Life is not always easy, but the way things work themselves out is truly AMAZING!

Mona-I’ll have to look at the 2005 road trip ‘handbook’ to see if I recognize you! LOL.

Kathy G-modifying IS allowed, even at road trips! LOL Take care of yourself…nice and easy! How did you hurt your knee? I’m curious, if you don’t mind my asking!

Tina-I’m nervous already! LOL. It’s funny….we’re adults and still have the feelings and nerves of school-age kids!

Kim-I should name my SON Crabyella! LOL. I like the name! As for WW, I LOVE the program. Flexible, effective, and so easy!

Jacque-I hope you enjoyed your rest day!!!! How often do you run???

OK...as for me. Yesterday closed out just wonderful. After dinner, I took the kids on bikes around the neighborhood then outside to play for the last hour of daylight. Older Ds and I played frisbee and we got in a great workout. He kept trying to make me miss the frisbee, but I kept running it down! LOL. Gotta make the kids think Mom's invincible, right? LOL

This morning's workout is DONE also! 7 miles on the TM with iTread 8 workout. Then the abs plus BONUS abs from B&G. That's 30 minutes worth of ab work! LOVE IT!

Today is going to be in the 70s and the school has 1/2 days all this week (younger DS has no Kdg this week), so we're planning lots of outside play!

Have an AWESOME day, everybody! BBl to catch up on you all!

Gayle

Hi everyone,

Today was HC Interval Blast w/legs. I'm not a fan of kickboxing yet so I skipped the last kickbox interval. I'm afraid my legs will be screaming tomorrow from the leg drills.

Road Trip Check-in

Good morning, Road Trippers! :7 This is my recovery week, so I am doing some old FIRM workouts just for fun. I had a good day yesterday. I did the Hare for the first time. I love the dancy ballroom aerobics. A light workout was just right for yesterday because I was so tired after not sleeping enough this weekend. All the Road Trip talk got me too excited! :7

After fasting cheese and chocolate for 40 days, I returned to both with control and was not tempted to binge or overeat either one of them. Kozy Shack black forest pudding cups are so yummy with chocolate pudding and cherries. :9 They do not have any high fructose corn syrup or hydrogenated oil. I try to avoid those junk ingredients even when I enjoy treats.

I fell asleep early last night instead of updating my journal and check-ins. I was wide awake at 2:30 a.m. this morning! I have already prayed and enjoyed my quiet time. It is time for my workout. I am planning to do Cardio Burn this morning.

I am so looking forward to meeting everyone in August! :7 I hope to be back later for personals.

Blessings,
Heather B.

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us” (Hebrews 12:1 NIV).

RE: Road Trip Check-in

Good morning roadtrippers! Wow, this check in is smokin hot!!! It's so wonderful to see how eager everyone is to get to know those who are coming :) We're all going to have a fabulous time:7

Is is August yet?

Well, I ran a 10k race on Saturday, and had strenuous workouts on the TM and with Barrys Bootcamp Sun and Monday so this old gal is ready for a rest day! I'm finishing up a busy night at work now (I'm an RN) and am looking forward to revisiting my bed soon!

Kathy- Dang girl you are so organized!!!!!

Randi- re: your question about your Mom (I think that's great she'll be there!) I would either post your question at the Road trip Forum or PM one of the Road Trip coordinators. I've already pestered one of them with a question and they get right back to ya!

Gayle- Holey Moley girl, I'm impressed with that novel you wrote this morning  You got in one impressive TM workout again I see!

Jean- Hope your legs recover!!

JC- (from yesterday's thread) Welcome to the Roadtrippers check in,
we're glad you're here! You sound like a true workout video veteran!

KathyG- Hi there! I remember you from the cheetah check in before you injured your ACL. I'm so glad you'll be there!!! I guess you are running again.... fantastic!

Well, I wanted to greet others I missed yesterday but I've run out of timex( Duty calls now.... hope everyone has a fantastic day!

ShellyC

Good morning everyone,:)

C&W #4 for me today, and chest. KPC really worked my arms yesterday:eek:

Hope you all have a great day.

Michelle:)

RE: Road Trip Check-in

Good morning everyone!

This morning I did Cardio Kicks. I really like that workout! Am running late this am for work (Tuesday's are my Mondays) so will hopefully get back for personals tonight!

Great workouts everybody and have a great day!

Kara

RE: Road Trip Check-in

LOL, SHelly on my novel. Are you seeing a relation between my run days and my novel posts? LOL Seems the endorphins carry into my fingers on my longer running days! LOL Enjoy your WELL-DESERVED rest day!

Hi, Jean! Nice to see you here!!!!!!!!!!! Can't wait to see you in person again! My kids keep reminding me to get lots of pictures of you again! LOL.

Heather-the HFSC is a tough one to avoid these days. I was buying hot dog rolls yesterday and had to go to the whole wheat (but not lower calorie ones) because they were the only ones without that junk in them!

Gayle

Good morning everyone!!
Today I made it to the gym. I did 20 min. sprints on the elliptical and then 25 min. steady state run on the treadmill. At home, I did abs from ME and Stretch Max#3. I didn't have to work today so I had time for an extra long workout. My goal today is to try to eat clean!!!!

Nancy J.-To answer yesterday's question-I liked JLSL. It was different, but like you, I found I couldn't lift as heavy as I do with Cathe. The 76 squats gave me major DOMS today.

Shelley C.-Congrats on running a 10K. I have only done 5Ks so far, but I think I might try a 10K this summer. You definitely have earned your rest day!!:)

Kathy-Great workout this morning. Do you use a heart rate monitor to figure out the calories you burned?

Gayle-I didn't go on the last trip, but I am excited there are going to be speakers there as well. I am always up for learning something new about staying healthy.

Heather-HFCS is the worst. I have to read food labels when I go grocery shopping as DS#1 has a peanut allergy. It is always amazing to me how many products have HFCS in them.

Randi-Butts and Gutts has such great premixes. I love that there is so much variety in Cathe's new workouts.

Kara-I just got Cardio Kicks last week. I am glad to hear you like it. I might have to put that one on my schedule for the week.

Michelle-Do you use weighted gloves with KPC?I keep debating on trying that.

I hope everyone has a wonderful day today.:)

Beth

Good Morning Everyone!

Today was Low Max and this was the first time I had done the entire workout. I had the FitTV version, but just recently bought the dvd. It was fun, not tough to follow and I was sweating buckets!!

Have a great day all!
Gin

Good morning Road Trippers!

Seems you are all getting in good workouts.

I am doing BBC Legs & Butt and some cardio today.

Have a good day...BBL...:)

Goodmorning Trippers.

I plan on doing B&G this afternoon after work. Gosh, some of these workouts you guys are posting make me tired!

Hey all! Wow, so good to see a number of you gals that are also over 40...I was sure I'd be the oldest one....but maybe I still am....

Anyway...my workout this morning was Imax 2, most of PS legs (the standing segment...skipped about 3 sets), then abs from both PS legs and Step Jump and Pump. My eating is so-so...it's that time of month and the sweet cravings are rough right now but I'm doing okay with the eating.

Gayle...I've been doing marathons and triathlons since 2000...have done 10 marathons and getting ready to do my 11th this Saturday...yikes!! I'm not ready for this one but somehow I'll finish. Triathlons are my favorite though...I've done 30 of those. I love the long distance ones...I've done 5 half ironmans and one full ironman (2.5 miles swim, 112 mile bike, 26.2 mile run) and yeah that was VERY hard took me 15.5 hours but it was an incredible experience!! Recently I bought a mountain bike and want to give off-road duathlons and triathlons a try this year. Have you tried any running races like 5ks? I'd say start there and give it a try, they are a blast!!

Well, have a great day everyone,

Cheryl

Hey, Cheryl. WOW! 15.5 hours? What in the world did you EAT during that time? LOL Holy COW, Batman! lol. Awesome! I've been toying with the idea of a Sprint Tri. I recently took swim lessons for the techniques of freestyle, breast stroke and back stroke. As for running, I ran my first full marathon in Disney in January '06. I've run a whole bunch of shorter distances, including 5ks all the way up to halves (my next half is the end of April). I feel I've gotten a pretty good control of my running and what works for me, as far as training and stuff. But I'm ALWAYS looking for advice and input.

Gayle

Good Morning, All~ Hope Everyone is Having a Great Day!

So far, so good this morning...NO SWEETS - YEAH!!!!
B/Snack :)- Hard Boiled Egg/Kashi Go Lean Crunch w/ Skim Milk & Coffee.
L- Lean Cuisine
S- Banana

Since I am currently following Cathe's Upper Body Bliss Rotation, tonight is some form of Step DVD. I am thinking probably Rythmic Step since this is one of my favorites!
Last night was GS, Chest & Tri's, followed by Bar Method F/F DVD.
My chest was fried after all those push-ups! I feel like I'm cheating though, b/c I can't do any big-girl push-ups yet...:(

Take Care ~

Good Morning,

Very excited to have completed my workout already by getting up and going to a 6am step class at my gym. I love going to classes. I also plan to go to the step at work at lunch today. I don't usually do two workouts in a day but my boss always goes to the class and loves it when staff attends.

Nutrition today

B two egg whites with spinach, lowfat bacon, toast with hint of pb
S: Sunflower Seeds and Strawberries
L Grilled chicken and salad greens, apple, chips ahoy crisps
S haven't decided
D Dijon Chicken Breast with mixed vegetables and salad...popscicle

THANKS FOR INSPIRING ME TODAY LADIES....

KIM

Yesterday's workout was pretty light. I did Petra Kolber's PK Step. I just wanted something light and fun. Today is probably Allstep and LL.

One of my goals is to run a 5k, but for some reason I am very intimidated - not fitness - wise, but just the whole - mass of people- I've never done this before - way. I am trying to overcome that and hope to have run a 5k before the RT.

I ordered the Gymstyles and KPC on Sunday. They should be here by Friday and I am eagerly awaiting the UPS man.

Have a great day everyone!

Hello everyone!
Today I had an 8am class and didn't feel like getting up super early, so I'm going to to PLB when I get home, hopefully with enough time to shower before I go to work! Nobody likes a stinky receptionistx( ! I have a bit of DOMS in by biceps from my dreaded PUB workout yesterday, but not as bad as I expected!

This morning I had my Go Lean cereal w/ skim milk and strawberries. For lunch...who knows. On days like today I have to eat lunch in the cafeteria :)-( )usually soup and a salad and fruit is my only safe option.

Gin-I just did all of Low Max for the first time last week. It was tons of fun and it really gave me a sense of accomplishment when I did the whole thing after doing just the premixes for several months. Way to go!!!

Have a great day!
Josie
