Road Trip Workouts

So which type of workouts/moves would everybody love to see on the Road Trip?

I'm doing the May rotation and I just finished a premix from LIC! I love this workout - the music - the moves - everything about it. The fun factor (for me) is over the top! I'd love to see something like this!:7

Time is ticking away!!!:)

I'll second that vote. I had never tried the LIC cardio pre-mix before this morning and it was a blast. That one will definitely become a regular for me.

Tina, I love that workout too. One of my very FAVS! Guess I need to give that premix a whirl too. I like the knee repeater move that goes into an outer thigh repeater and I really like it when Cathe combines the two. It sure hits the obliques GOOD! I'll find out if we are going to vote on moves to be used for a workout. Time IS ticking away! Ha!

Well as long as I have some idea ahead of time what kind of moves to expect (for step) I think I'll be OK. Like, it would really be great if we could get some idea of different moves that might be incorporated to practice ahead of time. :) I'm so nervous about this part you have no idea.

93 days to go! Who else is getting excited??

Hi Tess! Don't be nervous...just remember, it's all for FUN! We can work hard before and after and this is just going to be an awesome experience! I always use just the step (no risers) for all my workouts due to knee issues. So the other evening, thinking on the roadtrip most people will be using 1 and 2 risers, I'd add one and see what happens..... I was tripping over that thing it was embarrasing and I was all by myself! Sssooo glad I tried this at home. Moral to my story, I don't care how many people are using risers I'm not!!!!:7

Don't worry about what you can or can't do because everybody is at so many different levels. Straight-leg push-ups - I can't do them. I figure alot of people can and I used to feel so intimitated about that - but I started looking at the things I can do - and wanna know something else....nobody will be looking at us.....they'll all be looking at Cathe and the crew....

Don't you be hard on yourself "k"? I'm sure you do a great job!!!!

>Since we're admitting nervousness here, I have an addition. I
>have awful kickboxing form and I'm worried that everyone will
>laugh! I really don't enjoy kickbox either. I would never want
>to see a vidoe of myself!

Oh Phyllis, I am right there with you!!! I SHUDDER to think of what my back kick looks like! My side and front kicks are fine, but I've always been a clumsy arse doing the back ones. And when I'm doing the little side to side shuffle, I feel like the biggest dork! We can hide in the back for that class!

This is why I don't have a mirror in my workout room. As far as I know, I look great! Yeah, that's it. Great!:p

Okay, wanna know what I'm nervous about here girls... I sweat like such a pig. We're not talking a little "glistening" or a cute little "glow", we're talking drip down my nose sweat!! We're talking uses two towels during one workout. Soaked through and through. I have even been known to have "swamp butt!" Not smelly or anything like that ( thank goodness!), but good ol' fashioned sweaty sweat! At home... who cares. In my classes that I teach, well, they are all used to me by now. But I am deathly afraid that I am going to sweat on the floor and someone will slip on it and I will have to run and hide under a weight bench!!

Okay, so you've all been warned!

I feel much better now!

Vicki - Lol, we'll make sure to lay a tarp out for you and put a few "CAUTION: wet floor" cones around your step! ;) J/K I'm sure we will all be sweating up a storm! ;)

Please lay a tarp out for me too!!!! I always pay extra money for the under armour clothing that you can't see sweat through. My husband always says...OOOhhhhh you're all wet! So I feel your pain!:7 x(

I am loving these pre-RT confessions!! I'm not really that worried about step...I'm secure enough to just laugh at myself and not agonize over it too much. I am really looking forward to the kickboxing though!!

I can't wear the pants either. I burn up! Talk about a sweat fest at that point. I used to wear t-shirts all the time and lately (at home) I work out in my exercise bra and shorts and now it's hard to put that t-shirt on. If I can find one of those long tanks with enough support I think that's what something I may try!

In 2005, I think most people wore shorts and tank tops. There were some who wore long pants. Also some wore T shirts and some wore sports bras. It's pretty much whatever you are comfortable wearing while working out in public. I'll probably wear tank tops over my sports bra or the long style sports bras. I bought some new ones from the Champion sale that I need to try out. I'll probably wear shorts, so be prepared to wear your sun glasses because the glare from my white legs may blind you. Just kidding, I hope by then I will have some sort of fake tan to hide my fairness.

As for the sweating, bring your towels with you to the workouts. I brought my towel and a water bottle to the workouts and just tucked it under the step or next to my mat for the ball class.

Can you believe we only have 3 months left? WooHoo!

Jean

Thanks Jean! 3 months WOW!!!! It is exciting getting closer! The summer always flies by so we will all be there before you know it!!!

IF I can get my midsection toned up how I want it, I will probably spend most of my time in shorts and a nice sports bra/top. If I'm still not happy with my midsection, I'll stick with the t-shirts. ;) I may bring a pair of the capri type pants, but doubt I'll wear any long pants either!
