Road Trip Sunday 7/15

Good morning!

I am sitting here trying to get motivated to go to church. My dh went to 9:00 mass... yeah, that was NOT happening for me today. My weekend has been tiring. He has to work earlier than usual today so he had no choice. AAAHH, but I do! The boys slept at a friend's house last night, so my excuse for going to 11:00 mass was that I would have to pick them up. They are, of course, thrilled. ( not) So, time to get dressed and moving.

Did the UB portion of PP, 2x through. That one usually gives me a a good w/o. Then probably an evening walk after a LONG day of studying.

Went for sushi last night, now I am feeling bloated. It's unbelieveable how just the soy sauce can do that. I use low sodium, but still, that stuff just blows me up. My fingers are even swollen. Oh, and I saw the movie License to Wed... it was pretty funny, I didn't love the main guy character ( not Robin Williams... he was hilarious!) but it's a good "chick flick" if you want to have a laugh or two.

Okay, have a wonderful day RT's. OOOH... soon, soon, soon!!!

Good morning fellow roadtrippers! Hope you're all having an awesome weekend!

Vickie- I love your rationalization for sleeping in a little! I'd say a little more rest is very well deserved, you work hard! I hate that bloaty feeling!!! I'm willing to bet after your workout and walk later you'll be all back to normal again though.

Lara- Hope your having a good workday at your hospital. What do you do? You have my sympathy re: wedding preparations. I'm amazed you have time for anything else!!!

Jacque- Another Arizona Catheite??? How exciting!!! I live in Prescott, whereabouts are you? I will be flying out of SkyHarbor
Thursday Aug 9th departing at 9am. I'll be rooming with two gals who regularly post with me on the "Cheetahs" (runners) thread. They both live in Ca. Since we're all on the west coast and it is a long flight we decided to come Thursday instead and give us a little more time to hang out and have fun. I really look forward to meeting you!!!! When will you be arriving?

Heather- You sound like you're doing well and have a great challenging workout routine this week!! Hey, I wouldn't fret about having to do any hard moves on the RT like you're seeing on the blog lately. From what I understand, Cathe is well aware that the roadtrippers are all shapes sizes and fitness levels and God bless us for those wonderful differences that make us unique! Anyway,
my understanding is that the workouts are not going to be on the challenging level so that everyone can participate and feel good!
And that's the way it should be!

Time to go now. Dh and I are headed out to the flea market and some shopping. When I return I have a BBC (Barry's Bootcamp) workout waiting for me... I'm thinking it'll be Chest and Abs. Later I'll be doing an hour on the elliptical.

Good morning all!

I haven't been around in a while. Hope everyone is doing well. Summer is so busy. I can't believe the RT is almost here:D

Vicki-How's is the studying going? When is your PT test?

Shelly-I really missed "seeing" you here. Have fun at the flea market!

Robin-Just wanted to tell you, you look fantastic! I love your haircut!

I got my hair cut short about a month ago for my 40th b-day. Haven't had short hair since I was about 7 and I am really happy with it. I got so tired of looking at my ponytail! I'm going today to the Nike outlet to look for RT clothes. Wish me luck!

Have a great Sunday:)

Kara

Good afternoon!

I survived the indoor playground yesterday and even muttled through Imax2. Not my best effort, but I made it!

Just got home from blueberry picking w/DD. First of the season. Can't get over how BIG they are this year! Ended up with 10lbs!! Probably already ate 2!!;-)

Starting a S&H rotation today. Getting ready to do Boot Camp cardio only, then S&H Legs & Shoulders.

Have a great day everyone!

Well, I was just going to lurk here today, but after seeing ShellyC and reading the compliment from Kara, I guess I have to post. I'm at work and plan on doing something cardio when I get home. I've been following Cathe's July rotation, but had to switch around a couple days this week. Since I think I'll have time for a long workout today, I'm thinking maybe Body Fusion.

Vickie, did you make it to church?

Kara, good luck with the shopping. I dug out all my workout clothes to see what I need for the RT and think all I need to get is a top. Thanks for the hair compliment. I like the ease of short hair.

Melissa, I haven't been blueberry picking yet. There is a place less than a mile from me where I picked last year. I usually just pick enough to eat fresh. DH and I go wild blueberry picking in August and I freeze them. What will you do with yours?

Gotta get back to work. Bye.

It's raining, it's pouring, the old man is snoring...

Ugh!!! It is a monsoon out there right now!!

Just thought I would stick my nose in here for a second while I PROCRASTINATE!! ( have I mentioned I have to study???)

Kara: the test is this Friday! I am soooo freaking out ( but trying to remain calm!)

Robin: I Love the hair!! You look soooo great! Umm, Church? Huh? Was I supposed to make it to church? ( I am such a loser today! I did have a long talk with the kiddies about how I was wrong not to take them and that we should be consistent like we usually are... blah, blah blah! I just got a little lazy today. We'll say it's stress from studying. Yup.)

Okay, back to the books, or rather, CD - ROM.

Hi Robin. If you can believe it, the 10 lbs will be gone in a week. We usually go every Sunday morning in the summer time. I eat them for snacks w/ a handful of almonds and I put them in my oatmeal every morning. My DH loves them too. My DD however, does not share my love of the blueberry! Oh well, more for me!!

If there are any left on Saturday, I'll bake a pie to give to my Dad.

Then we just start the whole thing over again!!!:D

Wow Melissa! That's a lot of berries. I'm the only one who snacks on them in my house, so a quart lasts me a good week. Blueberries are definately one of my favorites though. I'll even pay the outrageous prices in winter for a handful to put on my cereal.

Vickie, get your nose back in that book!

I managed to make it almost the whole way through Cardio Fusion this afternoon. I had to skip the last 2 drills. I was just exhausted. I've been eating like crap and only doing short premix workouts and I've lost 2 pounds! Go figure.

See you all tomarrow. Night!

Hi everyone!

Just a quick check-in here before I go to church. I didn't get a chance to do my work out yesterday. I got home too late. Maybe tonight when I get home (and that's a BIG maybe:)

Vicki- I LOVE sushi! I don't get to eat it that often since we don't have any places that have sushi in the small town I live in. My husband went to Tucson (about 2 hours from here) and had some on Friday but I couldn't go:-( Good luck with that test. I'm sure you'll do fine.

ShellyC- I live in Safford, which is in the southeastern part of the state. I'll fly out of Sky Harbor on Friday the 10th at 7:30 in the morning. I'll probably stay Thursday night in Phoenix. Otherwise, I'll be leaving my house at 2:30 a.m. to get to the airport on time. That's great that you get to go a day early. I kind of wish I would of done that now.

Kara- So did you find anything cute at the Nike outlet?

Melissa- YUMMM...blueberries. That sounds good.

Robin- Love your pic and your hair!

I'll try to check-in a little later.

Jacque

Vicki,

What certification program are you doing to be a personal trainer? I know that you have been studying hard for this. Is it a home study course? I am currently doing the ACE home study course. How are you fitting in all the studying with your boys and all the classes you have been teaching and all the walking you do?

I haven't been posting much on the RT forum, but I have been reading most of them.

Just another quick question, I noticed your post on going to Mass this morning. I am also Catholic and I plan on going to Mass while I am on the RT. I have rented a car, so I can get to church. I plan on googling what Masses they offer and the times. If you want to go with me let me know!

How is your boys band doing? They do look awesome. You must be very proud. I know that you have lots of sleepovers. We have that in common, too. Since I have ten children, and a 6 bedroom 4 bath cottage - we tend to have at least 5 kids spending the night each night. We do tons of tubing, wake boarding, skiing and fishing.

Keep studying hard!

Cheryl

Well, a late check in for me.

I have to admit that I too, am afraid of the new Boot Camp pictures. I will not be doing that workout any time soon, and I don't think our "old" boot camp is really that hard! Geesh.

Today was my own premix of B&G. It was pretty good. Tomorrow is Bikram's Yoga.

Have a great evening everyone.
