Riser question

Cathe,
A few quick questions:
In ME, what is the total size of your high step when you're doing your leg raises holding the plate? Is it 14" or 16"? You seem to be working harder than I am and I couldn't figure it out until I noticed your step size.

Do the risers you sell fit the official Step? Can I just buy more risers to fit the four that come with the Step?

Also, would you ever use more than 2 risers to do a step routine?

Thanks!

Brenda

Hi Brenda. I hope Cathe doesn't mind my jumping in here. If you pause your VCR/DVD when you can see Cathe's High Step in full view, the topper is 4" and each riser is 2". I think that in ME she uses 16" but I might be wrong. Yes, the risers they sell will fit The Original Step. I think Cathe has advised not using over 8" to do a step routine but maybe she'll see this and answer for you

Thanks Debbie-
I'll have to take another look at ME this afternoon and count- they look like they're stepping much higher than I was which made me curious. I'm going to order more risers now!

Cathe or anyone, what about the risers and step routines? I can see maybe if you alter the workout so its not so quick...

I actually had a question related to yours - I'm wondering if it's okay to vary the step height from what Cathe uses. I noticed in Muscle Endurance she has 6 risers but fewer in Legs n Glutes. I am 5'5" and wonder if I should be using a higher step (7 risers) or the same (6 risers). Any thoughts?
