Nan- I'm so sorry about your Spyro - its so very hard when we lose our beloved pets. I still remember when my puppy of 12 1/2 yrs crossed over the Rainbow Bridge - that poem is so comforting

Oh Nan!!! I'm sooo sorry!! {{{{HUGS}}}} I'll be thinking of you and Spryo. Poor guy and poor you losing your friend like that. I'm just so sorry. I lost my Tucker a year ago, and I still miss the guy. Don't be afraid to grieve - losing a beloved pet is very tough. We're here for you.

I've kept my user name in memory of Tucker (And Tucker too). I hope you do the same.

Nan, I'm sorry to hear about Spyro. I don't have dogs but every time I see them when I'm out and about I say "puppy!" - young, old, small, big. All dogs are puppies - they just give off the love.

Many warm thoughts coming your way.

i just want to echo everyone else...sending thoughts and prayers to you. rainbow bridge gets me everytime!!

I'm so sorry...what a blessing to have had him to love and enjoy for 8 years. He was lucky to have been in a home where he was appreciated and treated well.

Nan, I'm sorry that you lost your precious boy Spyro today. It's heartbreaking when the time comes to say goodbye, especially when it all happens so quickly. You were a loving mommy and Spyro couldn't have asked for anything more :) I have this beautiful picture in my mind of Spyro running free with my sweet doxie boy Docker at the Rainbow Bridge :) {{{{Hugs}}}}

Nan, I am sorry to hear about Spyro. He sounds like he was a sweet boy with a great family. You were the best mom to him he could have ever had. I know it's so hard to lose a pet. It never gets easier. RIP Spyro.

I just had to put my special Caylee to sleep this friday and it was the hardest thing I have ever had to do. My husband and I are heart broken. We were hoping that Caylee would just pass away at home to but it didn't happen. She had something wrong with her liver. She was 12 years old. A golden retriever. I feel for your loss. When we put Caylee down it was horrible so I am glad U didn't have to go thru with it.

They gave caylee a muscle relaxant, she couldn't move, couldn't keep her tongue in her mouth. It was pitiful. She could only blink her eyes. I will never own another animal again. My husband feels he betrayed her trust and it is eating him up. Caylee was his constant companion. She never let him leave without her.

She will be sadly missed and never forgotten.

Penny

Penny,

So sorry!!! I understand what your husband is feeling. I know in my head we couldn't have helped Spyro, but in my heart its otherwise. Its not his fault and he didn't do anything wrong. I feel like a bad doggie mom because we couldn't fix him, but some things aren't fixable. {{{HUGS}}} to you and you're family. Everyone one this board is great for support, but email me if you want to "talk" about it otherwise.

Nan

Nan,
I'm also very sorry to hear about your loss. Spyro and your family will be in our thoughts and prayers.
Sincerely, Carrie
