RIP - coffee pot

My coffee pot died today:(:(:( It worked at breakfast time, had I known it was on the fritz, I would have savored every drop of that 2nd cup. I put it on to make coffee for the party this afternoon (decaf for DH's aunt) and nothing happened. No gurgle, no drip drip sound, no lovely aroma. Zilch, Nada. I think it was the decaf, it got confused. Its too late now to go get a new one. I don't know how I'll survive Sunday morning w/out my beloved cuppa. How am I supposed to wake up, fix breakfast, read the paper? Sigh. I will have to go find a replacement tomorrow. *sniff* The decaf put my coffee maker into a permanent sleep. Rest in peace, my decaffinated friend:(

I feel for you! I'll bet it was the decaf that took it down. I have a timer on my coffee pot so that my coffee is ready when I wake up - got to have it! It grinds beans, if I so choose, or makes Folgers, if I so choose, and never fails me! With that said, I always keep a Mr. Coffee backup in the event my precious, well loved coffee maker takes an "I quit attitude." I have been in your situation a number of times and learned to be prepared...just in case. Just thinking about being without my coffee in the moring makes me grumpy!

Good luck with getting going in the morning!

OH NO!!! Do you have a 24 hour wal-mart anywhere close by?? That is horrible.

I bet my coffee pot would die too if I tried to brew decaf!:p

YIKES!!!

I have actually cried in the past when mine has died. Real tears. Then I ran downstairs and brought out the old pot, boiled water, put the grounds in a filter and pored the water on top!!!! Same thing, just a little more work.

I really think our coffee addictions are the same as chocolate - after all they come from the same place!! :)

I am so sorry for your loss ;-). Seriously though, that does stink. I think my coffee maker is ready to quit and I need to get a new one. I must have my coffee the minute I get up in the morning.

I feel your pain! My sincere sympathy goes out to you. Coffee and morning go together like Rise and Shine! If there is anything I can do to get you through this rough time....
