Right Foods to eat to shape up

Hi Cathe,

My name is Maria and I am new to your DVD's in which I LOVE!! My question is I am 5'5 145-151lbs and I have been working out doing Pilates and your DVD's but I dont feel like I am losing the weight. I would like to know what to eat that would help me manage the weight loss and to have sculpted muscle tone. Please help!!

Not Cathe but I recommend The Abs Diet for Women by David Cinzenko (sp?), editor of Men's Health. It's a marvelously informative book that will get you on the proper nutritional path fast. I'm reading it now and often find myself wanting to quote PAGES(!) from his book HERE but have managed to resist. This book is especially useful for women who are overweight but have skewed their workout regimens towards cardio, with less than spectacular results. He runs every day so he's not anti-cardio, but he lays out exactly why women with weight to lose REALLY should be emphasizing serious weight training - and he explains it better than I ever could. But I love the nutritional advice and am following it and I think there's much in this book that would help (all of) you. Good luck.
 
Maria, A good rule of thumb is that if it grows in the ground or eats somehting that grows in the ground its good to eat! The more processed it is, the worse it is for you. Good luck!
