Resistance tubing rant

Ok, so I've been looking at getting resistance tubing to use with CLX, since I've been having some wrist pain. I have four foot bands but they're just too short, so I'm looking for 5 foot bands.

The beachbody bands come in a set of 3, with 2 sets of handles. WTH!! Is it really that hard to give me 3 sets of handles for my three sets of bands?!? I don't want to be changing the handles every five minutes!!!

So now I'm looking online at other brands, including Cathe. About 90% don't tell me the length (Cathe too, shame on you!). I don't want to buy these bands and find out that they're too short. Is it really that difficult to tell me how long the bands are in the description?!

On an off note, wouldn't it be nice if they included the weight or resistance level somewhere on the band so I could remember which band to grab? Wishful thinking I guess...Sorry for the rant!! (Oh, and if anyone knows of any 5 foot bands that are decently priced, that would be great) :)

The Cathe bands are 6' long. I need some too! I have a set that are also too short. Oh! Cathe's are also 15% off this week!

ITA! (on the first two points)

* I bought the heaviest resistance bands from BB a few years ago, and those buggers are HARD to get into the handle! You have to try to stretch the thick band into a thinner shape, while at the same time holding onto the handle. It's not easy as a one-person job (and I couldnt get my cats to help). It was a workout on its own!

*I don't even know why anyone makes 4' bands: they aren't much good for most things, and if you need a shorter band, you can always hold it in a different spot.

I got around the band-length problem by ordering a roll of bands (available on several sites. I think I got mine from www.fitter1st.com or www.power-systems.com ). That way, I can makes bands of different lengths for different purposes, and I have a stock of "bandage" :) on hand in case of breakage.

* As for labeling resistance cords, since the resistance varies depending on how much they're stretched, and it's not consistent during a move (less resistance at the beginning, more at the end as there is more tension), I'm not sure how they would label them.

It's pretty easy to determine their relative resistance (one band vs. another) by their thickness, but they should at least color-code them in a way that shows their relative resistance: going from lightest to darkest color, for example. Or a color system like light being green (easy, "go"), medium being yellow, heavy being red, etc.
