Resistance bands?

Hi Cathe & SNM:
I purchased the GymStyles awhile back and noticed they use the resistance bands a lot. Sadly, my old resistance band is on its last leg and I need a new one. I couldn't find them in the Cathe shop. Do you guys not sell them anymore? :(

Stretch Bands

I thought for sure I have seen the bands on the Cathe site before. I recently purchased the Cathe bands at Dunham sports. I purchased a different brand recently because my older Cathe band finally wore out but the other brand was not the same resistance(much weaker) and broke the second video I used it with so I will never stray from Cathe's brand again. I thought I was saving a few dollars but it ended up costing me more in the long run. I have seen that Walgreens sales Cathe's equipment also. Good luck.

Thanks. I wound up buying a set of three bands at Target. They aren't Cathe brand, sadly. :( And I can tell because they are short (only 4 ft) and covered in nasty latex powder, but they'll serve the purpose. I love love love my Cathe firewalker bands and was hoping I could get a Cathe resistance band too, but can't find them. :(

Resistance Bands

I just got the gym styles and thought the same thing - that cathe sold the bands. I thought maybe they were out of stock and that was why I couldn't find them. Anyone know the answer and isn't there a website that a lot of people used to get the 6ft bands at - I can't remember it???

I just ordered the dyna bands on fwonline.com. They have the 5 and 6 foot bands and wish I had gotten the 6 foot bands instead of the 5. Oh well....next time. They are kinda hard to find on the site though, so do a search on the site for 'dyna bands'. These are the 'old' green bands that Cathe uses in the Gym Style workouts. I'm not sure if they have the same bands that Cathe uses in the new workouts.

HTH!

I'm not really a fan of resistance bands. So after mine snapped (I guess it was Cathe's, came with Gym Style) I threw both halves out and never replaced it. From time to time I wanted to use a band and always wondered if I should have kept those halves, if they would have been long enough to be useful. Perhaps you can still use a broken band??

(Since then my husband did get me a set of 3 tubing-type bands that look like the place markers in Shock Cardio boxing.)

I was just looking today at shopcathe, they used to sell a set of 3 bands, but don't seem to anymore, I bought them quite a while ago, they were quite a bit tougher than the others I had, and I snapped one of them. I usually use the pink (lightest) one, and the green (which I snapped) for lat pull downs, the blue for me is impossible to use.

I thought I read a while ago they were going to produce new ones with a little more flexibility, but I don't see those yet either. I only see the "firewalker" loop bands available.

To another poster, the shorter broken band won't work for much, even the 4ft ones I find a little too short for anything like the "Y's" that you do sitting on the floor with the band anchored around the bottom of your feet.

I lucked out and found a set of 2 on the cheap at Marshall's for $9. They are the Stott Pilates ones and they are at least 6 feet long and work great. They even came with a dvd.

I did a search and was finally able to find the official Cathe bands made by Altus on walgreens.com. They arrived in about 5 days.

I just saw them! :) Wish I had known they were coming out before I spent money on these other ones I bought. :( They stink, but I spent money on them and will make them work. The new Cathe bands look great, though! :)

I'm confused. How are the new bands different from the set that used to be for sale on Cathe's site? Are they more flexible?
