Rescue Me fans?

I love love love love this show and I'm just wondering if there any other fans of the show out there. . . it seemed like such a long wait for this season to start and now that it's finally here I don't want the 22 weeks to go to quickly :)

I have always been a Denis Leary fan, however I like Rescue Me for so much more than his whacked out character. :eek:
 
I don't have cable, but I watched the first season on DVD. I loved it, but it's a tad too dark for DH. Denis Leary is a favorite of ours, though, and I can't go a Christmas season without watching The Ref. He has a new book out, too, have you read it? http://opac.cadl.org/record=b1703213~S15

If your library doesn't have it, I'm sure you can get it on Amazon. He's the best!

I love this show. I got into it one day when I was sick and in bed and they had this all day marathon. Denis Leary is super sexy and hot. I thought last season got a little over the topish, . . but I still keep getting sucked into it because of Denis Leary's character. I've never been a big tv show fan but I do love Rescue Me! :)
 
YES!!!

This is one of my all time favorite shows!! It did take forever for the season to start, I agree!...

First of all, I also adore Denis Leary. His cousin (a firefighter) died in a fire in Worcester, in Mass, where I live. That's part of the reason he did this show. I did read that book, Why We Suck... funny funny funny! He does not hold back, that guy.

I was rolling last night about the "farts" they were talking about. OMG..that show goes way over the top, I love it!

I wonder if he's done seeing his "ghost" friend now?

Haven't watched the 2 new episodes yet...have them on DVR.
Did anyone catch the *mini-sodes* they did a few months ago? They were like 5 minutes long, 10 of them I think. I missed most of them, keep hoping they'll string them together for a full bonus episode1
 
I love this show, Denis Leary, AND the Ref. I only wish it came on a little earlier (Don't have DVR) because I fell asleep half way through last night. I missed the first one too, so I'll have to catch up.

Yes, it took forever for this season to start it felt like. I'm going to have to check out that book!

There is something incredibly sexy about Denis Leary -- the show can be dark but there is some real honesty about it too which keeps me watching.

I do have a DVR and I LOVED those minisodes they aired last year. They were hilarious it would make an excellent bonus episode!

I have not read his book, but I want to. He is very very funny.
 
I just finished watching the 1st two episodes for this season! They didn't disappoint! I think this season might be the best yet if they keep heading in this direction!
 
I watched seasons 1 and 2 religiously but 3 was kind of hard to believe. Heck, it's always been hard to believe. But I love Leary and had a big crush on Daniel Sunjata so I stuck it out to the end of 3. I might go check it out again but if ALL the women are still portrayed as crazy b*tches I'm out again.
 
In the "I'm a huge Denis Leary fan" vein, I watched Monument Ave. last night. It's like 10 years old, but it was good. Very, very dark and not too much humor, but interesting. Maybe I need to get season 2 of Rescue Me and watch it when DH is not home.
