Oh, they definitely are on 'roids, and probably human growth hormone as well. You can tell by their masculin voices, their squared-off jaws, their bad skin (and though we didn't see it, they probably have 2" long "female parts").
To me, they often looked like transvestites...but with more muscle! (And not as pretty!).
I just don't get at what point a woman would go from wanting to look like a fitness contest winner (like she did at the beginning of her career--still looking like a woman), to looking like a man?
It's when "women"(perhaps this should be in quotes?) started looking this way that the Ms Olympia contest started losing a lot of its audience, and the "fitness" competitions were begun (with contestants who have the physiques of earlier women body builders in the 80's, like Rachel McLish, Gladys Portuguese, etc. ).
