Recommendations for tapes

Hi all,
As some of you know, I've recently stumbled across the site and do not actually own any Cathe tapes. I was wondering which one(s) you would recommend for someone who is very used to exercise but has not done a "class" format in many years. While I'd like to own each and every one, finances are a limiting factor right now, and there are just soooo many to choose from!

I'm interested for my own workouts, but also to help me with ideas for group exercise classes since I'm a new instructor as well. I got certified with the intention of teaching only Body Pump but also found myself assigned to teach a class called "Mix" , which is basically a catch all for any format (step, hi/lo, KB, etc...) the instructor feels like teaching on that day (not at all intimidating for someone who hasn't even taken these classes in a few years...). Any and all suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

Hi FitnessRN:

For kickboxing, definitely Cardio Kicks.

For hi/lo, MIC (the most gym-style hi-lo I've ever seen)

For step, MIC (see? you get 2 for the price of 1!)

For step, IMax -- great intervals!

For step, Intense Moves (not Cathe, but fairly close intensity-wise) -- great intervals, simple step routines inbetween

Re step, so much depends on the state of the equipment at your gym. Most of the steps at mine are short, run-down (1 or 2 even have cracks running through them!), the rubber on the bottoms are wearing down, causing the steps to slide. Quel horror! We only have 6 good, full-length Reebok steps, and you have to get there early to get them (and I do!). I can't imagine our instructor trying to teach an intricate Cathe routine on them -- suicide in the making! Adding to the chaos, our instructor cranks up the music so loud you can bearly hear her. Therefore, she keeps the routine fairly simple -- step up, step down, leg raises, hamstring curls, a few lunges here and there, and a lot of "over the top"s.
