I just heard the news and it's shocking and so very sad! :( He was such a pioneer and visionary. God bless his family for their loss.

We are all in tears here at DurbrowVideoServices.com. My mother is just beside herself. We have been acquaintences of Steve through the MacWorld conference in San Francisco since 1985. It feels like a great light has gone out in the universe. Our hearts are just breaking. :(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(

I would be eloquent, but I just don't have the words right now.

Such sad news. :(

I love this quote from his Stanford Univ. commencement address in '05

“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma – which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of other’s opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary."

Sadly, America has lost a true genius.. the kind that comes along very rarely. In history, Steve Jobs will be ranked right up there with Thomas Edison and Albert Einstein.

R.I.P. Steve Jobs and thank you !!!

A friend of mine who works at Apple wrote this:

Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The trouble-makers. The round pegs in the square holes.

The ones who see things differently. They're not fond of rules, and they have no respect for the status quo.

You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify, or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward.

And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius.

Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world - are the ones who do.

Thanks Carolyn, this is so true!

RIP Steve

Very, very sad! He was a genius! I'd be lost without my iPad and my iPod....what an amazing man he was! May he RIP!

A great loss of a true genius. We were at Disney World when I heard the news & it definitely put a damper on our trip. Disney flew their flags at half-staff. RIP Mr. Jobs, you are missed.

This is so true. Beautifully said. Thanks for sharing this.

Let me add the quote that has been running through my head since I heard this devastating news:

"If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of giants." Sir Isaac Newton, 1675

Thanks to Steve Jobs, we, and every generation to follow, see a little further.

A great man, who was a visionary, a legend in the gadget industry and a man who changed the way we look at today’s gadgets and technology. May he rest in peace, he was a great man.
