is there a good website to figure out the mileage for different routes? im hoping to be able to better track and improve my walk/jog/walks (thats what i call them=}) with my baby stroller. i do wear my hrm but also want to know how much ground i'm covering on any given day. i guess the other option is a "strollometer". anyone have one of these? can you tell me about it?

thanks!!

Nike plus is a good website. You have to create an account (it's free), but it has a feature that if you type in your area code, it will give you different routes, or you can make your own route and it will calculate the distance for you.

Here is the link: http://nikeplus.nike.com/nikeplus/

thanks, ladies! i've been morphing my leisurely neighborhood walks with the baby into more disciplined walk-run-walk sessions and this is so helpful. maybe one day soon i'll turn into a "real" runner!

thanks,
wendy

http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/ a second vote for google. I use this all the time but not all roads are maped. If you can afford it I love my Garmin 305. By the way that is how I started running to!. After my daughter was born. I would down load music onto my ipod and run 1 song and walk the other with my baby in the stroller. I then started running 1 mile and walking the other, . . and now I run 20-25 miles a week. It really is a great for of cardiovascular exercise.
