Thanks for responding. I'm glad I didn't order the sliplocks. I had my doubts if they'd work on my type of barbell. I did buy some butterfly clips and they work ok on the threaded ends, but you're right, they do require some hand strength. I haven't looked into how much a new barbell is, but if it's cheap I might go ahead and get another one.
